World Editor Load Lag

Hi everyone, I just wanted to know something. Why is my World Editor lagging when OPENING maps? Even starting new ones, it takes forever! The progress bar completes, and I have to wait about... 3 minutes for it to actually show.

My computer specs are:
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3ghz
1024mb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700VE
 
Has to generate the terrain, custom units, triggers, sounds etc all at once. Thats probrably why. Im sure its the same for everyone -- goto Window > Disable brush list and it might take some of the lag off. Also nukes lag in object editor ;)
 
i have lag and i know what your saying, but i dont have 3 minutes, and my comp specs are worse than urs

2.39 ghz
256 MB RAM (getting it upgraded soon)
pentium 4
windows xp
 
Since the 1.19b patch came out (1.18 iw as recieving no lag) it has been a bitch to load up. :(

Actually... mine doesnt take nearly 30 seconds to load. And hell I got a 450 dollar refurbished PC from Fry's in portland, OR!

Make a 64x64 new map of lordaeron, does it lag at all? Mine instantly shows up when i hit the button... I swear this is new, used to always take a few mins like yours! :)
 
Ah well, I am going to have to cope with it I guess. Thanks for your help guys ;)

pentuim celeron D processor
1024 ram

but i have no new patch and it takes time but not 3 minutes

    I'd rather personally just own a backup of the Nuon data than see it go to AtariAge honestly. If it gets enshittified as per usual, or if some of the "regular" Jaguar folks get there, it's not gonna be fun
