World of Warcraft

I'd love to buy WoW when it's released, but you can't…_You have to hire it, which is, in the long run, far more expensive then buying it.
It would certainly stress me a bit that I have to pay a certain amount of money every month…
Besides, and most importantly, my parents won't let me hire it for the same reason…

Are there any other members of this forum who can't or don't want to buy WoW for the same reason?

Well, what will the montly fee actually be? I dont think it should be very expencive... but to be honest I have no idea, I never played those kind of games before, though I just might try WoW out.
I have a bit of a different problem concerning this game... since Im from Serbia, I have no idea how to get it. Its kind of hard to get an original game out here, let alone a one that has the montly fee thingy

I am also looking to play Wow but hate the monthly costs also because i can't play online very often, for those who wanna play something different and cheaper you should look into Guild Wars

They had some open beta recently and it was really fun, its kinda like diablo but with massive multiplayer, total 3d worlds, and you pay buy buying the game then expansions if you choose.

I probobly wont. Its supposed to be an online RPG kind of thing, right? Like everquest? No interest.

The other side of the coin is that there are people in the warcraft 3 community who will be extremely happy with paying a monthly fee to play it. These are the people who have felt that the state of play on battle.net has suffered very badly due to the dominance of the little kids whos terrible behaviour has destroyed any chance of enjoyment of the game. Paying for a game every month will likely mean these kids wont be playing and thus the game will be dominated by a much better-behaved class of individuals (admittedly I'm not sure this theory worked in Everquest hehe).

And no I'm not saying all kids behave terribly, just a reasonable number of them who play warcraft 3 on battle.net

I signed up on the WC3 Campaigns forum, and not one post has even been answered. Not the warm environment we have here.

I also posted on the Dota ALL Stars forum, and got called an idiot, a noob, and some other names.
