XP lifespan

Is anyone able to predict the lifespan of a XP the old T-bird ppl told me that its lifespan is probably 2 years...but the new chip that uses palamino(sorry forgot the spelling)giving out less 20% heat can anyone sort of predict the lifespan for the chip.

and the new 0.13micron chip that coming out...does it oso include a new series of XP1600-2000 or does it only apply to XP2200 and above and if it also applies to XP1600-2000 would the voltage used and the heat produced be reduced by alot and wat would guys say its lifespan would be?

i dunno
i do use cpuidle tho .
my Thunderbird is running allmost 24/7 and cpuidle keeps the temp down alot when i am not on the puter .
 
I think I might be wanting a link to that cpuidle program, I'm on win98.
The Asus Probe that came with my motherboard crashes the computer with a BSOD about VXD VCPUID(01) when I try to run it, I think that's Asus's CPU idler.
