Games ... as in recent games?

All time favorites:
  1. Master of Orion I and II
  2. Civilization I and II
  3. ... I can't recall a third PC game (or series of games) that would be really better than all the others

Some great games: (Games such as Starcraft and Diablo 2 are not in the list: Almost everybody played those games.)

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn.
The Age of Empire series.
The Heroes of Might and Magic series (3 to 5, 1 and 2 are too old).

Out of my 200 or something games, here are the ones I have had the most fun and frustration with:

-Startopia---> *Best game in the world, after two years I was still learning something new*
-Warcraft 3 ---> *no frustration :D*
-Starcraft---> *Can't wait for Starcraft II!!!!*

EDIT: Just for thought, Dungeon keeper 2 is just below these 3

1) Diablo 2: LOD
I will never, ever, forget all the time I spent playing this game. It has its own place in my heart <3
2) Starcraft
I played warcraft 3 before this, but starcraft gameplay smaked warcraft in the face. It as much more enjoyable.
3) Warcraft 3
Love the world editor. Actual game play is above average at best.

In order of preference...
1) Warcraft 3 - First proper game I played, and completed. And it remains brilliant, if a little dated.

2) Worms World Party - Worms Armaggedon has a better campaign, but World Party is the only one I got on PC. And it still kicks ass.

3) Age of Empires 1 + 2 - Both amazing games, I only got into them fairly recently and hence haven't really scratched the surface. Shows how good they are to get a spot on this list :)

Just under this is Evil Genius. The title says it all, and it would come third if it wasn't for the fact it crashed fairly frequently.

1) WcIII
It's been years and I am still playing it.
2) Battlefield II and 2142
The squad based gameplay is amazing and it's the most realistic war game ever.
3) FIFA08
A recent favorite. The replays are so fun to watch.

1. Diablo 2 - Often times this game is thrown on the shelf and forgotten but it can never be left there. It might be a week, it might be a month, it might even be a year, but I will always come back to it.

2. Nox - This game was simply amazing. It had awesome graphics for the time, a strict yet free gameplay, and a freakin' awesome storyline. You could be a Mage who studied deeply into the arts of magic and wielded immense power with little stamina. A Druid who had the skills of a fighter and the abilities of a mage with a companion along side them. Or even a Warrior who could take hit after hit without even grim-mincing then shippinh the pain back to them. This game was truly pimp. :)

3. Warcraft 3 - How can I not post the game that got me through boredom for so many years? Whether it be me ranking up the ladder via amazing RTS gameplay or destroying noobs in an epic RPG this game has everything.

This was a tough one, but I think it's

- World Of Warcraft (What to say?)

- Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne (the editor and the custom games <3)

- Medieval Total War 2 (Epic Campaigns with Epic battles, just awesome!)

1. World of Warcraft
Great MMORPG based off my favorite RTS series.

2. Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
Great RTS with a very good game, online play, and a World Editor which is almost like another game completely.

3. GunZ: The Duel
Free downloadable MMO Shooter which despite being free, is an awsome shooter where you only fight other players. I personaly love Gunz.

  • No one is chatting at the moment.
  • Varine Varine:
How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
