Asus Laptop random Saturation changes

Hello everybody!

I got a really strange problem with my laptop lately. It happens rarely and completely randomly. Sometimes my screens colors become super oversaturated for a short period of time and then change back to normal. The change happens slowly over several seconds, it comes and goes without me doing anything special.
Here is an example of how it looks like:

This isnt actually a big problem because it only lasts a few seconds and, as I said, is very very rare. It is a little bit scary though and I fear that something might be seriously wrong with my screen or integrated graphics chip.
If anybody has any ideas what may be causing this please feel free to leave a comment. It will be hard to test it though since it happens so rarely and I havent found any way of recreating the situation.

Yes, happened to me just today. It happens every now and then completely randomly and lasts only for like 4 seconds or so.

Have you checked your drivers?

I don't think it's a screen issue, but it might be an issue with the cable or the chip.

I checked my drivers. But there is not much to see. They are the most recent drivers for the integrated chip. Its not like its telling you much about the problem though.

What happens if you plug in a second monitor? Does it also show similar problems?

Never tried that. Too much work though, its hard to tell when it is going to appear again. I could be waiting for hours before it happens or maybe it wont happen for a week. Its very random.

I guess so, but it would help to see if it's the chip. The problem being ofc that it's a liveness property.
