I didn't justy mean WoW. It's just that they are the most common professions and most of the things i will be adding are used by WoW. A job is not a profession and Frzoen Shadow hows WoW a massacer

Easiest way would be make a different version of the item for each enchant but that won't work too well.

^ That would cruely minimize and limit item variety. Making ~50 copyes for every item with changed effects and tooltips is usseles...

Well if i do it then I will only enchant the Copper, Iron and Gold sowrd. It's then up to everyone else to create their own

Very nice system but I found a glitch.

If you already have a iron bar in your inventory you can't get any more even if you smelt the iron ore properly. It just leaves the iron ore your trying to smelt in your inventory and doesn't create an iron bar. I'm not sure how to fix this because I havn't looked at your code haha. Anyways pretty good tutorial I look forward to seeing some other professions your making (if any) + rep.

Bumping this 5-star thread because I don't see a reason why this shouldn't be approved.

It certainly directs map makers to the right directions when it comes into profession-making.

Plus, it's nicely written and has screenshotsfor illustration purposes.


Letting this thread bubble and get some more feedback before approving.

I could make different professions ( wich ive already made )

but then id be hijacking ur thread about how to create basic professions

anyway id give this a 5 star rating

it tells non experienced WE players that you can do anything if you try

you wouldn't be 'Hyjacking' the thread if you made your own. You 'Hyjack' the thread by changing this thread by using some illigal software without TheHelpers permission. Creating your own Professions isn't 'hyjacking' so don't worry. :thup: thanks for 5 star rating

You could add a few special effects once you've :

Mined ; Made potions ; Made weapons ; caugt a fish .
