o_O Hi troll Hmm Just the "word virtual sword for 16.000" Isn't that crazy enough that someone spend money on. And what's logical on a virtual Sword? Go ahead and explain.

spent 16k on a game - may end up playing game for 2-3k (~6-8hr/day for 2 years) hours, thus paying ~$6/hr for entertainment/enjoyment - some people have the time & money to spend on stuff like that - granted not many people, but why do you feel that it's crazy? other rich people may spend 100k to go to space for an hour or something - it's their money to spend, why do you criticize them for it?

FC doesn't have money; see's man acting like Tony Stark IRL. Is jelly.
FC only wishes he could get a proper meal every day.

FC should delete his account since it's just virtual anyway and he's spending money on Internet billz he could be using for useful stuff like food; FC, you're crazy! Why would you spend on internetz!? Just a worthless virtual thing!

Ahh..
But, you see, unlike you, I don't believe that virtual stuff is useless stuff.
It's not useful to you, in particular, though; you don't use it to learn how to have a proper argument. I pay half the monthly internet bills, which is about 23USD.

FC, you don't understand what it is, thus you cannot place a value on it

1. it has been made clear that the sword is "unique" and "one of a kind", yet you refer to it as "These", as if there were more

2. you are buying more than just a virtual item, you are buying something that will give you hours of enjoyment, bragging rights, or perhaps just supporting a game studio that you like - some people choose to donate to charity because they like to - do they get any tangible benefit from doing so? no, but they get peace of mind perhaps, but by your logic that would be just as crazy, would it not?

3. I won't get into details of hacking, but just trust me that it would be difficult to re-create the sword without the developers help, and that any hack/etc. of "I have one too" would be instantly detected by the game - it's one of the simplest things to check for (should this happen? no? -> cheater! bring forth the mighty ban-hammer!!)

Just want to point out that donating money to charities is tax deductible, since it sounds like you're not aware.

Yeah more like a few millions to go to space. I found tickets for a trip to the moon at some point in the future for 100 million. But I'm still shooting for my spot on Mars One, I think I deserve it.

No No! There's absolutely no value on it "unique" Or Not. "It's Just a Item for a game" What does he think, He would level up faster with it. eh?

The value of an object is defined by how much money somebody is ready to give for it.

There is not a supernatural being giving price tags to all kinds of items on earth. God doesnt care about your money.

I think the company should give him free game time for the life of the game to go along with it. and a free copy. If at all possible...

Can we send FireCat to Mars instead? Now THAT'S something a wealthy man would pay $16,000 for.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
  • Ghan Ghan:
