I don't know the regular post limit. It's been increased and decreased a few times, so I don't actually know what it stands at now. About 60k, I think.
Ahh, RE and English Lit were also my worst subjects.
I've never heard it being referred to as post-16 (We go to 6th-Form around here).
It depends on how serious the interview is. My A-Level College is very laid back, and so I wore a somewhat formal shirt with jeans. Everybody did the same, so no biggie. If it's something more serious (like a formal college, or possibly a job), then wear a suit. Suits are sexy anyway.
Hmm, I should start a petition to have the VM character limit increased. Not that it'd make any difference anyway. 1000 is usually more than enough.
And yeah, I've heard about the university tuition fees. For a standard 4 year course, most people will leave university with about £52,000 of debt (£9000 for each year, and about £4000 living expenses per year). It's all the more annoying that the government doesn't seem to realize that people don't just get degrees for themselves - it actually benefits society too. We need doctors, dentists, teachers, and well-educated people in general to keep society running. The government should be granting subsidies to those wishing to study at university, rather than increasing tuition fees. It's pretty much the governments job to do the best for society. They're doing all they can to try to discourage the consumption of things that are bad for society (such as tobacco and alcohol) by placing heavy taxes on it, though they seem unable to look at the other extreme and promote things that are good for society. Stupid Liberal Conservatives - It's all about the money.
Ouch about English. Just read books and practice essays and stuff, I guess. I've never really studied for English, so it's difficult for me to give you tips about it.
What exactly is the Post-16? Is it just another name for A-Levels, or is it something else? Good luck with that interview though.
That thread probably wouldn't have done so badly if it wasn't for all the previous threads about medical/family help that people had posted in the past.
Grade D in English? Ouch.
I had an A* in Language and (my only) B in Literature. I should've read the books. Ohh, how many GCSEs are you doing?
I'm also quite interested in programming. I rarely seem to find the time to get some done (C# though). If all goes well, I'll end up studying Computer Science at University. You don't actually need an A-Level in computing to do that though, so I picked something I was interested in instead - Economics (I was already doing Physics and Double Maths as a requirement for Computer Science).
I'd recommend Physics, in that case for you.
LOL, no worries.
You could take that to the doctors or something, just for a check up if you're really worried. It'll probably just 'fix' itself within a few days or weeks though.
My tower is making progress... Slowly. I'm not working on it much 'cause I want to revise for exams coming up too. Hopefully I'll make it.
And I'm studying my A-levels now. Double Maths, Physics and Economics. Finally, I'm able to drop English, History and all that boring stuff. A-Levels are hard though. Very hard. But I'll cope.
How're the GCSEs going? Any plans for what you're doing to do after?
Yes I did. Wc3 was rpg-ish. No fatalities what so ever.... here... I will send you a few of my recent games when u have the game so you can see some pro level action. Fucking amazing.
SCII melee is out of this world... it varies on different levels though- when I was in bronze I cloudn't pull of 1/1000 of the things I can do know... It is fucking amazing ^^
Pretty well. I desided to brush up on my SCII and play it a bit more seriously. It will be a long journey though- In the beggining of SCII I played a ton. I got really high points, but I haven't played ladder 1v1 for 2-3 months. Now I have like... 800 points of catching up to do. U win ~10-20 per game. U lose 5-10 per game (note: If I have won more, for example 20 points and I loose I will loose more. I win less I loose less)
So as you can see I have a ton of catching up to do.
Good news are that u will be on the euro servers so we can play together 2v2 atleast
Most of the mappers are people who can't make a footman jump, let alone make a map or finish it without having 30958304 fatal errors while loading the map
ANyway, we will play some 1v1, I need to practise my protoss skills, if I am protoss, YOU will most likely kill ME : ))
I won, alright... give me zerg and watch the other one die
Well, the melee is awesome, you have to atleast reach an average level on it because these are the basic game meechanics, without them mapping is shitty (I was good with the wc3 editor cuz I was a melee pro.)
The match was awesome because I got fucked up by blizzard a coupple of times in the first 10 minutes I wanted to rush him, I had to destroy a total of 6K health when an average unit has a dps of 5..... ironic isn't it ?
it is true. Yesterday this is what I did:
First I played a deathmach against a person via b.net. 2. IT was zerg vs zerg. I have the replay. It was awesome (I think )
After that it took me 2 hours to change the way that a unit shoots. Guess what. I didn't change it :
but the data editor is awesome. You can make uber spells with it that would normally require a lot of triggers and systems. I have a video in skype (a program) but I am at work atm and I can't axes it I will send it to you when i can.
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.
You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
