Tried it myself, works great! Although i'd add more cocoa (I used drinking chocolate instead) next time round.

If it fails for you:
  • It'll come out different for different microwaves (I did 4mins in ours, where it says 3mins on page).
  • I think (cannot confirm) that American tablespoons are a different size to UK ones (which from reading the comments were used in the original).
  • I used normal flour and it worked fine, no need for cake flour (unless you have it that is).
  • I forgot to stir in the flour/sugar/cocoa, but it was fine, just had to stir it a lot (I just chucked it all in by accident).
  • Oh yeah, stir it till there's pretty much no visible "lumps" (might take 2-3mins alone).
  • And again, you may want to add more cocoa/whatever chocolate powder you use to give it a stronger taste.

Have fun.

I just tried it, but it's fucking hot :(

And one part of it is little black (stupid microwave). But it looks good so far. At least the idea is sure very good.

edit: I suggest to add a few hazelnuts. I think it would be better then.

Come to think of it, it looks like high concentration sulfuric acid and sugar/starch mixed together, then painted with a brownie.

I'm no geek, but I think one of the ingredients have sulfur compounds in it.

w-w-w-w-w-wait? How could that be dangerous?
The ingredients are these of a normal cake. So no danger in there.
And the only other thing is oil. But oil won't get poisonous by heating it up I guess.

Well, artifical compunds with 1 sulfur element in it, as a food nutrient.

Microwaving a drop of oil = Absorbtion of waves = Vibration in the atoms = Produces Heat.

Too much heat = That drop of oil might release 100 KJ worth of heat energy.

I'm fairly certain cooking oil does not contain sulfur.

And it's a cake, who gives a shit, just eat it.

That sulphur, I'm not talking about oil. Some other ingredient in the cake.

(Sulphur or sulfur, which one is correct?)

Sulfur = American
Sulphur = British

Funny, I spelt it the American way, don't think it matters much.

somethign really important if you do this:
It turns really hard really fast. After like 6 hours I couldn't eat it because of that. So eat it fast : P
And also don't keep it in the bowl/mug you made it or it'll stick and you'll have a hard time getting it out.

Sounds interesting. And it does look like a cake, except it doesn't has anything on top of it, as cakes usually have. I'll try this.

On the bottom picture where the guy broke it up, the one piece on the bottom looks like a demon face.

Why don't you just go get yourself a Easy Bake Oven?

Because Easy Bake ovens don't have a chance of leaking terrible radiation everywhere

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
