I've tried using the search in thehelper forum but I couldnt find any matches for AI...
I have this problem. I have placed in the Ai Editor for the comptuer to build a group once, but they seem to rebuild them which is taking up space in the computer's gathering point. Does anyone know how to make the AI computer build one group once only? Similarly, I'm trying to make the AI do very similar to the Undead in Mount Hyjal War3:Reign Of Chaos campagin.

Thanks, :D

I'm not quite experienced in triggering, I find AI editor to be much more easier...

EDIT: Couldn't I just make layers of AI Scripts and each Script could be a wave, meaning they only build once? And i just use triggers to tell the computer to switch AI scripts?

But problem is... will it take alot of space? And will it lag in-game? :banghead:

I think triggers are easier actually because triggers are like a plan you use. if you want it to happen once then it'll do that if you want it to go twice then make it go twice and then it's endless
at first i tried to use ai editor but the trigger editor turns out to be much more useful
no i dont thin it will lag

There's an action called "AI - Command ...", you can make a condition in the AI editor, and then activate it by using mentioned command. Might be helpfull.

> AI - Command, I don't know how to use it

I don't think anyone does. The AMAI people maybe...

But, well, the waves in the AI editor always repeat.
The only option there is not to repeat the first one. Or the first two or so...
If that doesn't do it, only triggers remain.

Switching scripts is not possible.

It isn't?! :(

Thats not the problem. The problem is is that the gathering point for the computer AI fills the space, and so when I add more waves the bigger the space will be filled. Later, it will be so crampped that the wave just won't start, because theres not sufficient amount of units for the next wave.

I tried using a trigger where you can kill all units in a region, so i can fill in the space. But the trigger didn't work... :banghead: and I think it would be useless as well, because the AI will just make more copies to fill in the spaces...

The only option I have is triggering... But thats something I don't know. :(

Unit production with waves

this is similar to the post but i couldn't find anything closer. i want waves to repeat and i can set the time between each wave so its spaced out, but i want to have different units for different waves. wave1 -7 miymirdons and one seawitch then wave2 -12 murgul and 12 sirens. both waves require different units alltogether. what im having trouble with is the building slot. my guess was to set a condition for say after wave1 build 12 sirens or murgul <= 4 build 7 mymirdons. either way im baffled if anyone has experience with this i would be most grateful.

thank you for your time

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
