Another Trigger Issue

I have an item in my game where if a player uses it, I want it to pick a random player and explode all his units. The problem I'm having with this is that I want it to pick a random player that's actually in the game, and make sure it doesn't pick yourself. Here's my trigger that isn't working:

Code:
The Imploder
    Events
Unit - A unit owned by Player 1 (Red) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 2 (Blue) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 3 (Teal) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 4 (Purple) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 5 (Yellow) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 6 (Orange) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 7 (Green) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 8 (Pink) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 9 (Gray) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 10 (Light Blue) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 11 (Dark Green) Uses an item
Unit - A unit owned by Player 12 (Brown) Uses an item
    Conditions
(Item-type of (Item being manipulated)) Equal to The Imploder
    Actions
Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in (Playable map area) owned by (Random player from (All enemies of (Owner of (Triggering unit))))) and do (Unit - Explode (Picked unit))

I figured this would do it, but no units are dying at all no matter how many times I use the item. Earlier I placed text within the actions section to make sure that the item was working, and it is.

To make it simplier, give a charged item an ability. Later use the event A unit starts the effect of an ability. Much more simplier than having 12 events.

A unit starts the effect of an ability

Ability being cast equal to Imploder

set P = (Units in (Playable map area) owned by (Random player from (All enemies of (Owner of (Triggering unit)))))
Unit Group - Pick every unit in P and do (Unit - Explode (Picked unit))
call DestroyGroup(udg_P)

You should be able to do this with only one event, like so:
Code:
Exploding is Fun
    Events
Unit - A unit Uses an item
    Conditions
(Item-type of (Item being manipulated)) Equal to Explodey Item
    Actions
Set unlucky_player = (Random player from (All enemies of (Owner of (Hero manipulating item))))
Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units owned by unlucky_player) and do (Actions)
            Loop - Actions
                Unit - Explode (Picked unit)

Really, I don't see anything wrong with your trigger... I would use (Hero manipulating item) instead of (Triggering unit), and I would set the player to a variable just to make the trigger a little easier to read, but neither of those things should matter.

Make sure that the event is actually being fired when you use your item, and also make sure that the players are actually considered enemies of each other.

I copied the trigger word for word. Is the trigger supposed to function if you're the only player in the game? I have units out for player 2 and 3, but when I run the trigger none of the units die.

I put some text in the actions section to see if it reached there, and it did. But if I put text in the Loop - Actions section it never actually reaches that point.

I tested the trigger and your right it didn't work, I was able to fix it though by going to Scenario -> Player Properties

Under Controller if it says None, then even if that player has units on the map, the trigger wont count them as being part of the map.

So if all are marked as None besides Player 1 then the trigger will think you have no enemies, even if there are hostile player 2 units on the map and so forth. Try switching all the Nones to Computer and then testing it, it worked for me.

have a player group and two triggers. One trigger that for each player if equal to playing add to the unit then one player leaves remove triggering player from group

Well I had them set as users before, but since they aren't actually playing I guess they wouldn't work with the trigger. When I changed them to computers it worked, so I assume that means the trigger would also work with users who are playing. Sweet, thanks guys. :)

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
