AoE Frost Nova with slow

I'm trying to make a new kind of frost nova spell. I want to target the spell like the blood mage's fire strike and slow the AoE at the same time.
How can I do this?

Use the blood mage's fire spell and change the art to frost nova, also change the name (including tooltips), and the buff to frost nova. Or am I misunderstanding you?

I did that. But I want the damage the spell does to be instant and I also want it to slow the units in the area of effect for a period of time.

Make the duration of the spell really short, for your second question, change the buff to slowed(or whatever one frost nova uses).

If that doesn't work, You can trigger it so when you cast it the firespell does no damage and create a dummy for you and one fore enemies then give frost nova to your dummy and order him to frost nova enemy.
