Some things can't be reached, no matter how you stretch.
Some things will fade away, if you let them go.
This is what happened to us
This is a story of that summer...

Asatte no Hōkō (あさっての方向 /A Direction of the Day After Tomorrow) or Living for the Day After Tomorrow (Animax) is a manga series written and illustrated by J-ta Yamada. It was serialized in the Comic Blade Masamune, a magazine of Mag Garden, between March 3, 2005 and June 15, 2007, that spanned five volumes. The anime adaptation was produced by J.C. Staff and aired from October to December 2006.

Synopsis:
Junior high school is around the corner for Karada Iokawa, and Shoko Nogami, a young woman who just returned from abroad, who happens to be the former girlfriend of Karada's older brother. Upon her return, Karada dragged Shoko to come to the beach with her brother and friends since she used to know Karada's older brother, Hiro, years ago whent they were still in the United States.

After getting irritated by Hiro for leaving her alone when she was still abroad, she tells Karada on purpose that her ribbons are childish. Later that day, Shoko finds Karada praying at a shrine, wishing to become an adult. Amazingly, Karada abruptly transforms into a young woman. Incidentally, Shoko has her adulthood taken away and reverts back to eleven years old. Will they eventually face their friends and overcome the difficulties with who they are now?

Karada is a young and cheerful girl who is about to enter her first year in junior high school. Despite her small stature, Karada is a great cook as well as a responsible person who does most of the house chores. She knows that she is a burden to Hiro, her older brother, and that she is merely an adoptive sibling. This led her to wish to become an adult, but her new self seems to be more of a burden to everyone than before. Tetsumasa, one of her classmates, shows romantic feelings for her throughout the series.

My Comments:
This is a slice-of-life anime series, a genre which tends to be boring most of the time. I'm not bored with slice-of-life; it's my cup of tea and a great way to soothe me from a long and hard day. Asatte no Houkou is a great series to watch, seeing that it was animated by J.C. Staff (I like their works the most) GJ!. The story emphasizes itself strongly with the characters and that's what makes Asatte no Houkou worth watching. An anime fan should at least give this a shot, especially in a hot, lazy summer (the setting and everything else accentuates that summer feeling)!

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

I found this one rather boring when I watched it, and I usually enjoy animes of this genre. The only real reason I watched it to begin with is because my favorite seiyū, Shizuka Itō, voiced one of the main characters. I guess these crybaby-characters kind of bores me after some time (referring to Karada).

My overall rating was 6/10 iirc.

Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
