Finally. :D
Romek clicks on the link, and watches the battle report.

Finished. Zerg were awesome at the start. Those missiles seem really cheap.
Though it also seems that units aren't worth as much in Sc2 as they are in Wc3.

But in Warcraft, it was about stealing creeps and making sure that a single grunt did not die. Here, we send 50 marines to their deaths while reading the morning news. The sheer masses of soldiers made me feel more powerful overall, in Starcraft. The pools of blood and plasma make me feel all warm inside.

Aye! That's what I always liked about Starcraft. When I started Warcraft III, I was getting pwned lots of times because my Starcraft mentality xD.

Great game between the Zerg and Terran anyway, at first I though the Zerg would win.
Btw, did you guys notice that Terran won both of the Battle reports? =O

Omg ace i love you!!!! Finally zerg yeeeeeeeesssss~~~!!

EDIT: Smith, the new terran units are too imba. + as in the original starcraft, zerg are made for what wloud appear a very small bunch of players. Not evryone is gifted with the ability to controll them. Indeed us, the zerg players are most hated, because of our dominance, but above all I must say, that the weakest race for the starter player is zerg, because they need... special way of unit controll.

IF there were...... 2 lurckers.... the zerg wloud have won..... the lurcers wloud have hitted all of the land units at once, and they do 20 dmg. They need 5 seconds to kill the marines and about 10 to kill all marauders... alone, without any other help... Other then that good game. But I expected a bit more from the zerg player.

All of that seems to assume that they were playing the original StarCraft, and that there are Lurkers in SCII (are there?). Anyway, no one said the game was balanced; these are just for testing purposes.

Either way, it seems those mines are really cheap because they work like a baneling that never misses and cost nothing. =/ I little crazy in my opinion.
The hunter seeker missile? They move slow and their splash damage affects friendly units too, so you might end up blowing up your own units if your enemy pays attention.

No more block pathing, units can actually walk until the edge of a cliff, sweet. :D

> They move slow
"Slow" being about the same speed as any other unit.
Even so, making your units run leaves them vulnerable to enemy units.

Starcraft2 looks really amazing this far. I can't wait for the release:)

Good to finally see some zerg out there:D I still think that zerg are still about massing units in an efficiant way, that is just even more good news for me;)
All hail the swarm:shades:

*Slow for a missile. It would be silly if they were slower than any unit.
It's not about out-running the missile, it's about trying to get as close as possible to enemy units before the missile hits you.

And if there are no enemy units around? Or they're outnumbered greatly?
Then the missile will pretty much devastate just your forces.
And outrunning it isn't really an option, as it moves about the same speed as units, but ignores pathing. So it'll catch up eventually.

Eh... yes? There are times where an ability has to be actually beneficial for you, no?
It's the same like Psi Storm for example, the outcome differs greatly, depending on when and where you use it. That's why I wouldn't call the ability "cheap".

I haven't played Starcraft before, so I'm assuming all of this from a Warcraft-ish point of view. A bomb that takes out an army wouldn't be accepted there. Though I have heard units are much cheaper in Starcraft.

The guy seems to be using that missile an awful lot, which means it's obviously not very expensive. And when it's used, it pretty much wipes out an entire army.
I think it's too cheap, or too powerful.
They did say it was only added two weeks ago as well.

The idea is that it dies out pretty fast, so the nighthawks have to get pretty close before they can be that effective. So, just kill the nighthawks, one seeker isn't worth their cost.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
