Character computer transfer

hey guys, i have a signle player sorceress that ive had for a very long time and she is definately my best single player by far!
the problem is im getting a new computer and im just wondering if there is any way that i can get my sorc onto my new computer.

Yes. Here's how it goes.

Find the folder named "Save" (or something similar) in you Diablo2 directory. There should be some files in it with the names of your characters. Each hero has 5 or 6 different files with his/her name. Simply copy them and paste them anywhere on any computer and the sorceress will be there.

Although, be aware that there shouldn't be varieties in the patches. In short, it is something like replay files or saved games for WarCraft3. When I made me the first hardcore character in SP, I had backups of him, keeping his files elsewhere
