Just off-topic again, but if I created my account on US West - Lorderaon, can I simply switch over to US East, or do I need to create an entirely seperate account?

Lol, we should have an admin (if they want to of course ) as our chieftan, or someone with very high mapmaking and personal management experience (plus maturity, so they don't go off banning every 12-year-old member who smartmouths them once or twice rofl ), and then each of our shamans could specialize in things such as triggers, terraining, balancing, creating custom units, abilities, and objects, testing, advertising, clan management, The Helper contact, etc.

I'll try to be on, or at least join at a later date :>) But we should probably work out who will be who right now, at least as far as chieftan.

Over the few days i will be programming the bot to show all hosted mappers, current projects of users, members of mm.
Also i will be scripting an antispam trigger and other security features.

We could make like a mapmaking clan, i have enough cdkeys to make the clan channel from just bots, id join and i bet we could find other people who make maps to join to, or interested in mapmaking.

I would love to learn how to map make better, im making a good FF(footman frenzy).....

Well i think the mods or admins should decide who the shaman should be or even chieftan.

Also i kinda have an idea.

I was thinking we could get our name around bnet (azeroth) as a mapmaking clan and as th.net. so we would become more popular map making clan that could be the best mapmaking clan on battle.net helping users and making maps.

I was thinking (if i got permission) to load some bots in the public warcraft channels advertising our clan with an idle every 2 mins or 1 min advertising our clan.

the shamans need to be advanced mapmakers, people who understand the ins and outs of mapmaking. They don't have to be on battle.net all the time, but enough to establish a presence.

the chieftain is a slightly different position because that person will have more responsibilities. Whoever it is needs to visit battle.net frequently enough to not lose track of what is going in with the clan. This person needs both maturity and commitment in order to do their job well.

Since I don't really play this game anymore, I'll let you younger folk discuss this between you - I'm just putting in my 2 cents to give you guys some sense of direction.

An easier way to do this and is all rdy on my bot is you make a simple command called -advertise or as I have it -recruit. Then you make the bot say...

If you give me one of your cd keys since I know you have, I'll have my bot up all the time so you can use it.

Also since I know your good with custom scripts and w/e you could make it do that automatically every 1 hour.

This way you only need 1 bot and it does multible things. Plus if its not doing that it can act as another clan bot.

Custom commands are complelty worthless for doing that kind of stuff.
Custom scripts or another program designed to do that is the only good way. Stealthbot is not a advertising bot, they say stealthbot is a "moderation bot" which it cant do anything for moderation either barely.

The custom command feature on stealthbot to me is poorly designed. Its totally worthless unless you want a ton of gay commands on your bot that does absolutly nothing.

I mean that i will keep my bot in a channel for a few hours, and every few minutes the bot will say something to advertise the clan or site or both.

And, if I really do feel like it, I even "visit" one of the public channels.
Well, first thing I do there is "squelch" the first five "people" that show up
with some text...

As for actually reading what they "say"... sure.

YMMV, of course.
