Probably a hoax. The account of the poster of this video was created the same day as the video was posted. Also, he has not responded to a single comment and his profile contains a link to a company website. Furthermore, the box is a receiver, not a transmitter so the audio and video captured can only be stored in the box itself.

I bought 4 of them and installed them, 2 of them broke. I guess Coby can't make anything good, so I'm not afraid of this, the camera probably doesn't even work on mine.

Ghan has said he has fixed this. Monovertex please confirm this fix. This was only a problem with people that had signatures in the upper levels like not the special members but the respected members.
