My RPG will suck the blood out of all the others... except that I can't come up with a compelling story... The characters are outrageous though... heh.

Any help can be given on what a loyal demon and his master would be doing in the frozen wastes of Northrend?

If you haven't noticed I'm more for helping people than making maps...

Amount of rep from helping: I unno because I also have lots of -rep lol

Oh, and mine will probably suck because I have just realized how shitty I am at terraining.
I think I'm going to restart since I didn't do much anyways, and my whole idea wasn't really going to work, because... I know nothing about it!

On a side note, if the map includes a penguin you'll get a bonus point, two bonus points for a giant penguin and three if you can kill a Furbolg in the map.

I am a bit confused about the grading, however. You say to post it here BEFORE the 72 hours are up? Then what is someone uses it to somerhow help them out?

But if it's after, then people could take a bit of extra time handing it in or whatever.


Care to clarify? Sorry for not following.

I just realized I can't make an RPG in 3 days because if I do wanna complete a map I do a little bit each day. Mapping for over an hour at a time almost kills me I've just realized :banghead:

I meant, late entries are not allowed (well, they are, but they won't be graded).

Though, you can submit your map with only spare spare minutes left...


Heh, just submit what you got when the time comes. Everybody had only 3 days, so, who knows, which map will be graded best.

Well technically when I finish my map, I am only really 1/3 done from what I really want to do.

Sooooooo...this means that my map is only a beta release XD

And since I like my idea so much, after the contest I am gonna spend time completing it fully (as in adding little game extras and stuffs)

And I need something clarified. If I wanted to say...make 3 playable heroes on this RPG, but when the time limit was done, only had one, yet the one hero I had done basically went through the entire game, would you guys count it as 'complete' ? :D

You mean in total you want 3 heroes before the time limit but you only managed to finish 1? It doesn't have to be complete to submit it, you just shouldn't tell people how many heroes you want, then they wont know if its complete or not.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
