H02Medivh28 split into "You must be wiser than the king!" and "The end is near!"
H05Medivh40 "Your choice is already made"
N06Medivh38 - the whole clip

I wanted it in a .wav format so I could import the sounds as a unit sound set by overwriting an existing set, unless you can actually create a sound set using .mp3s?

Oh, right. I'll reconvert them. So N06Medivh3 is simply to be reconverted to .wav and that's it?

Pretty much, except that my issue was converting the sound files to a reasonable file size. I don't know much about sound formats, so I was hoping you knew how to make reasonably sized .wav files.

I was trying to post an answer before site went down - failed. Right, I was trying many ways of conversion and compression, and well, in case of 'The end is near' I can't get less than 103kb. Problem with .wav files is, that this is completely not compressed file, and no compression is followed with a higher file size. I reduced the file size a bit with inner compression, but I still wonder if it's reasonable weight in your opinion.

My previous conversions all range around 300 kb, so anything below that which still sounds good is great to me.

Not sure whether you will be happy with that or not. I did the best compression I could with biggest file reaching 280kb, others were quite smaller, together with links, you have sizes as well:

The end is near / 103kb
http://www.sendspace.com/file/ri161g

I have returned to set things right / 207kb
http://www.sendspace.com/file/gwn4ar

You must be wiser than the King / 107kb
http://www.sendspace.com/file/ehx8y3

Your choice is already made / 160kb
http://www.sendspace.com/file/mkuogy

I am the reason for legion's return / 280kb
http://www.sendspace.com/file/sn6oxq

857kb of your map, quite a big chunk though...

Could you also get "Destiny is at hand" from O07Medivh47? Then it would be just perfect, thank you. :)

The imports of this size is okay because that's pretty much all the imports I use (no skins or .tga loading images that usually take up download size in such a map).

I wonder, is this thread too old to be posting in? Looks like people haven't asked you for sounds in a loooonnnggg time. But if you see this, I still have a sound or two I could use :p

Custom sounds?

Oh, this forum isnt as old as I thought it was, I just read it badly. Sorry about my first comment..Anyways, have you ever watched the t-v show LOST? If you have, you know exactly what these two sounds sound like. Both come from the "Smoke monster", nicknamed "Evil loche" or "Smokey". If you have not watched the show, ask me to find links for the sounds, I probably can, and don't bother looking at the two examples below.

1. The roaring sound it usually makes when its about to chase someone, you know, the really loud high pitched one he makes.

2. The clicking/hissing sound it makes when its sometimes staring people right in the face (Like at the scene with Mr. Echo)

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
