Day and night for diffrent players?

Is it possible to make it that for example player 1 seeing the map as day, and player 2 has nighttime ingame at the same time?

You can perhaps make a work-around solution. By fizzling with the black mask function. But I don't think its possible to do with the standard mechanics.

I think it can be done relatively easy. Can you describe a little more how it's supposed to work?

how about:

Trigger:
  • Set Time
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing night as An exact match
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
        • Then - Actions
          • Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units owned by Player 1 (Red)) and do (Actions)
            • Loop - Actions
              • Game - Set the time of day to 23.00
              • Game - Turn the day/night cycle On
              • Game - Set time of day speed to 80.00% of the default speed
        • Else - Actions


You can set the time to maximum of 999999999.00% and minimum of 0.00% wich basicly is no speed ;dd

The game picks every unit owned by Player 1 and "Set the time of day to 23.00", "Turn the day/night cycle on" and "Set time of day speed to 80.00% of the default speed" for ALL players the amount of times in ALL units picked.

Which mean, if player 1 has 40 units it will do the loop action 40 times for all players.
You can't turn on/off day and night for a specific player using that function.

I was trying to figure out what you could do.

Try this out and see how it works for you.

Trigger:
  • Set Night
    • Events
    • Unit - A unit Uses an item
    • Conditions
    • (Item-type of (Item being manipulated)) Equal to Spurious Night
    • Actions
    • For each (Integer A) from 1 to 12, do (Actions)
    • Loop - Actions
    • Visibility - Create an initially Enabled visibility modifier for (Player((Integer A))) emitting Black mask across (Playable map area)
    • Visibility - Create an initially Disabled visibility modifier for (Owner of (Hero manipulating item)) emitting Black mask across (Playable map area)

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
