Display information

So I have a 'callvote system' that allows players to kick other players in a democratic fasion. Once a player initiates a vote I want to display that information to all the players. What I want to display is:

name of player being kicked
time left untill vote ends
how many votes for 'yes'
how many votes for 'no'

Getting that information isnt the problem, displaying it is. I figure I have 3 options in displaying the information:

Timer Dialog - I had one setup with the info in the title but there were a few problems. The title was being cut off due to it being too long and the timer itself was in the ugly '00:00:00' format. If there is a way to extend the timerdialog so i can show more information then i'd gladly go back to this method.

Multiboard - Since the timerdialog didnt work I tried a multiboard since I'm more experience with them and there is a lot mroe control in displaying the information exactly how I want it. However when I created the mutliboard it destroyed my other multiboard so I'm guessing you can only have one at a time?

Leaderboard - Well the other 2 methods failed so I thought I'd try a leaderboard. I've never used these before (not even in GUI) but It might work for what I need, however, I dont really know how to get one working. There's pretty much no JASS examples available so I just wing'd it and ended up with this
JASS:
             set VotingLeaderBoard = CreateLeaderboard()
             call LeaderboardSetStyle(VotingLeaderBoard,true,true,true,false)
             call LeaderboardSetLabel(VotingLeaderBoard, "test")
             loop
                exitwhen i2 == 12
                call PlayerSetLeaderboard(Player(i),VotingLeaderBoard)
                set i2 = i2 + 1
             endloop
             call LeaderboardAddItem(VotingLeaderBoard,"lol",1,Player(0))
             call LeaderboardDisplay(VotingLeaderBoard, true)
Doesnt work though.

So I guess what my question is, am I stuck using a leaderboard? and if so, how can I get this thing to display .

Er....

the multiboard should have worked fine ^_^

Here's what I'd personally do

I'd display the timer on the top right corner, the name of the player on the next row below it, then multiple rows below that with a list of the player names in grey ^_^, if they vote green, that's a good vote, if red, that means a vote to kick

Now, I'm not in the mood to program this, but... you should easily be able to do this in a multiboard

Just make the rows wide, only need one multiboard to do this

And, you can have multiple multiboards anyways... lol, so er, just make sure to name them differently.

Honestly, I'd do my idea above. Right now I'm poofed out on JASSing so I just dont' want to code atm, lol ;p

I'm sure you'll get it ^_^, I developed an autoupdating multiboard that sorted the players based on player number, color coded their names, and updated it so that there weren't empty rows when somebody died or left ^)^

If I can do that, I'm sure you can do what you're doing, kk ^_^, what might even be better:

Code:
Player Being Kicked Timer
-----------------------------------------
Player1(grey/red/green) kick/keep (kick would be red, name
Player2 kick/keep turns red too)
Player3 kick/keep
Player4 kick/keep
Player5 kick/keep
Player6 kick/keep
Player7 kick/keep
Player8 kick/keep
Player10 kick/keep
Player11 kick/keep
Player12 kick/keep
-------------------------------------------
this is assuming Player 9 is the one being kicked ^_^
hmm.... well, as you see, my version has 1 multiboard with 2 columns ^_^
Try that, kk

hah, thanks for the idea (though, thats a bit more info than what i want to display).

I'll try making 2 multiboards again.. maybe i fuxed something up.

edit** tried having 2 multiboard displaying again, it didnt work. I did, however, get the leaderboard working. It looks ok.. kinda sucks that the title can be but only so long and that the second colum can only have integers.

edit2** It isnt possible to get the leaderboard to display ABOVE my already exisiting multiboard without destroying it is there? Picture

No there isn' t any way that makes leaderboard appear above multiboard or something similar. Just wild idea what even might work is to use "\n" to get on new lane. Maybe by doing so your info will be displayed in many rows but still in one timer window ?

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
