I'm not digging the red links, and we need to do away with the blue in the pages but otherwise it's a big step in the right direction, IMO.

If anyone has any suggestions, fire away.

The fact that we can adjust it now is a huge step forward. Hoping we can get it tweaked out soon!

Hmm... yes... does still have some problems.
But!

I think it still looks great!

Tweaking, though... that's another matter....

Great job, I like the original theme better (*ducks*) but this is all very well done. Congrats! :) (I thought I found a link to a different forum before reading this post).

I don't know if it "Works as Designed", but when marking a link (red) it turns into a very bright blue. Nothing wrong, but the colors are very different, and in my opinion it doesn't look the best.

*Throws at Rheias's legs in anticipation of duck* ... *Thunk* :D

> I don't know if it "Works as Designed"

Well, "works" and "looks good" are two entirely different things.... :p
I am confident that we'll get it figured out.

Good stuff. Now if we could just get it to look correct in Firefox I'd be happy. This forum is one of the few sites that I have the IE Tab plugin automatically open in Explorer.

quick questions, are the "quote" and so forth buttons supposed to still be blue?

*questions retracted once I found out what NUON-Dome was and that it was not a new TH.com skin*

Well, not really. But those buttons are images, I believe. Meaning you can't simply click a button and change the color....

I'm on Firefox and it looks fine...

The problem is (or was) that icons and stuff show up as their alt text instead. See attached screenshot.

I just figured out it was due to the RefControl plugin. I added thehelper.net to the plugin's whitelist and it now comes up fine. Glad to have that fixed!

>.< maybe a background? like a dark red or something

Just some opinions..

oh, I didn't know. I thought that maybe VBulletin (that is the software, right) provided you with all sorts of primary and intermediate colors, since on other VB forums the buttons are different colors

The only things I see that are problems are the quote/reply/multi-quote buttons are still blue. The table borders (For each post and the helper links and everything that uses a HTML table) are still blue.

Still, it looks nice. I like it. :)

Also, the links that you hover over become blue. I think it should become a different color.

HTML:
a: hover { color:#HEX }

Blue isn't really attractive in this NUON forum.

Yep, I'd already suggested the links be dark gray and we're working on getting the reply buttons, etc, replaced with appropriate graphics. Out with the blue, in with the gray/red/black :)

There we go - no more blue except for the buttons. Working on that, though :)

Hey cool, never noticed the Youtube button here before. Let's try that:

I found a random video review of Tempest 3000, cool.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
