Judge Andrew Napolitano, host of Fox News.com’s Freedom Watch, has long been on the right side of the war on drugs, and his scathing critique of the deplorable police actions in Columbia, Missouri is no exception.

(To recap for those who have not yet seen the video: under the cover of darkness, a team of militarized SWAT agents enter a family home and immediately engage in gunfire — killing one of two family dogs and wounding the other — and likely inflicting lifelong trauma to the family’s seven-year-old son. Police ultimately seized a small amount of marijuana residue and associated paraphernalia, which resulted in a misdemeanor charge and a $300 fine.)

In fact, Napolitano’s very first question to befuddled Columbia Mayor Bob McDavid is: “When are the cops who did this going to be arrested and put in jail where they belong?” It’s a valid question that, not surprisingly, leaves the new mayor speechless.

I have to say I agree, this is despicable and resembles a totalitarian police state... (No surprise there.)

God, that's sad =/
Watching vid now.

[EDIT]
Done watching.

Judge Andrew Napolitano rocked hard in that vid xD
Never heard of him, though, not till now.

Still, sad that they're starting to use brutal force over almost nothing.

Their job isn't to raid homes with a pipe in it. That can be left up to normal uniformed officers in a nice calmly manner.

^I agree with the normal officer part of the post.

they were mostly doing their job. I almost certain that they had some more reason to raid the house than a suspicion. this is the media, and this is also fox news. they will restrict information and/or play it up to make it interesting. seriously.

anyway, it was a overreaction on the police's part. why shoot the dog? and to break in in such a manor. If they do spend jail time it shouldn't be too long though.

just my opinion.

Well yea it's fox news, but I think that's more reason to believe how over the top this story is. Fox news typically supports the cops in situations like this and the host is a very right wing guy typically (from what I know), so it is nice seeing someone like him defend the people even in a scenario dealing with marijuana.

I think they should spend atleast 10 years for shooting the dogs - do you realize how emotionally traumatizing that would be for a child?

Well what id the headlines were "2 officers dead, after tip on drugs"

Now what would we all be saying then, Im pretty sure someone would of said "why send in normal cops to a drug house, why didnt they said the SWAT" the police simply took no chances, In this world you never know what happens, so why take the risk.

This scared me, and the brutality made me so sad. They killed one of the dogs, traumatized the children for life, terrorized the wife, and made a grown man submit without any impulse to fight back. Why didn't they survey the house! I'm very upset! Someone should be fired or at least punished to justify what has happened. Never again should an innocent family experience such a terrible raid. Maybe this drug dealer was a kid who was experimenting with a pipe, and an idiot kid reported his dad for drug dealing! Ugh, this is too terrible. I'm too offended to express my feelings.

The person who reported the family and the police should both be held responsible for the damages they caused. The family should be payed with some dues, or they should at least sue the state!

Civils rights in this country is once again just a dream.

Everything our fathers died for on foreign soil, forgotten.

It is policy like this that makes me proud to use drugs.
Scenes like this only inflame and harden my resolve do undermine law in this country.

Personally, any American who would defend such acts, does not deserve to be an American.

wouldn't spying on the house be infringement on some privacy laws?

I'm still confused why they did it. I have trouble believing that they had no basis. messed up.

Well yea they're doing their job, I don't see how that makes anything better. Their job is to know what to do in certain situations and their behavior in this situation was totally uncalled for.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
