Gain exp/gold from kill via trigger

Hi, I have a triggered ability that deals damage via the trigger. So far, so good, but when the unit that is attacked by the trigger dies, the "killer" doesn't gain any exp or gold.

So I have tried to trigger it, but I couldn't find out a good way detect the unit that uses the triggered ability, since the ability doesn't deal any damage at all, it only adds a buff for .1 sec.

Does anyone have a clue on how I could work around this lil' problem?

• Damage
  • Events
    • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
  • Conditions
    • (Ability being cast) Equal to <Your Spell>
  • Actions
    • Unit - Cause (Triggering unit) to damage (Target unit of ability being cast), dealing <Your Damage> damage of attack type Spells and damage type Normal

Well, the thing is, you don't really target the enemy, the ability is based off breath of frost. Do you think it would work anyway?

breath of frost leaves buff, you can check for it damage the unit and remove the buff

Uh, not sure how you mean, could you tell me more detailed? Oh, and I remove the buff after .1 sec already.

Uhm, Multi-Unit-Instanceable, I think. So that more then one unit can use it without it bugging out.
