Harry Potter Campout Begins

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Forget piddling around a mere few days for an iPhone. Two sisters are in the midst of an 11-day vigil for this summer's hottest, "must have" low-tech phenomenon — the latest "Harry Potter" novel.

Chloe and Sydney Bostian started camping out Tuesday in front of Gulliver's Books in Fairbanks to be among the first Alaskans to find out their hero's fate in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

The seventh and final installment in the series by author J.K. Rowling will be released at midnight, July 21.

What sort of sorcery could make teenage girls live outside a bookstore for 11 days?

I think the books are poorly written, it almost killed me to read the first page of the first book.
But my sister adores them and her boyfriend pre-ordered her a copy for her birthday or something so it's all good >_>

Yes. The first, oh, 4 chapters of the first book are pretty boring. But, if you get through that, it gets much better.

this book I bet will be the best because any charactor can die at anytime since its the last book, only thing is the ending must be amazing and fast (no two chapters of Harry being pissed like at the end of book 6)

Harry potter is like reading Old Man and the Sea seven or eight times.

It doesn't go anywhere until the end,

Cept, any harry potter book is the size of 3+ Old Man and the Seas.

A few thigns just don't click to me in this story though.

I stopped reading at The Goblet of Fire but;

Voldemourt, or however it's spelled, is like a total bad ass.

And Harry always goes home for the summer.

If you think that, you really need to read the other books. There's a reason that it hasn't happened to Harry.

He's only immune to harmful magic while in the house. Not to conventional weapons. Also there's nothing stopping one of the baddies to teleport into a military base and steal a tank or something.
