The only thing that lacks in TheHelper is that no one really bothers our map projects cuz some people don't really care about any else's and thinks that it is competition =P.. I think not really, but I'm just plain lazy to check other map projects :D..

Well, I like to check through everyone else's maps. I find it good to see what other people are doing and seeing how everyone responds to them. For example, my House of the Dead got a good responce from the public, although I haven't updated it for soooo long now. :p

I think this is a nice and friendly community. People can get angry, if you ask a question, that has been asked a lot of times. Those guys who don't use the searchfunction, I mean. But I love to see friendly people like Zerox post here.
By the way: awesome new Avatar!

The tutorials here have pretty much helped me most :).There's pretty much nothing I can't do,xept for things that require more-than-usual math (more like physics) knowledge :\.

Well where else would it go that people who actually are active here and use/help others could see it? Majority of us don't go to anywhere else but the Warcraft section. Or at least thats my oppinion.

So? That doesn't mean you can post things completely irrelevant in this section just because a lot of people come here.
This should be in the General Discussion.

Haha I try to be the best help I can be. And being friendly always makes people feel better about the site too.
And hey thanks for noticing my avatar change. Yeah I really like this new one. :p

Hmm lets see only general secition is in general section for every forum of the helper.net And I'll have you know that I looked around lots of other areas of this site. And the majority of people who post in the warcraft area don't post much elsewhere. Besides read the rules for this section there is nothing in there that says this isn't allowed. Not trying to show you up. But you just seem to like to try to ruin things that are going well by complaining saying it isn't organized or w/e. And granted while it would better fit into a general discussion section. It wouldn't get to the people that its aimed to.

How Has The Helper Helped You?

Whats this about? TH is responsible for this forum and so he is the source of everything you got help with...

€:
Actually I am talking about TheHelper as person. :p
Anyway I don't see a reason for this thread and if there is one
this thread belongs into another subforum...

HAHAHAHA

He spelled site wrong.
yea its that funny.
This site gave me the big boost i needed, i have because of this site been able to learn on my own and expand my ideas.
However: i am very sad to inform you that i wont be around anymore that much.
As i stated before, this site gave me the big boost i needed. But not just in the warcraft editor. I have been inspired to learn other programming languages.
So i wont be around anymore asking all those noob questions hehehe:D
My only regret is that i never even got started on a big idea of mine.
And that i never learned how to change the text that shows next to the picture
I am ceirtanely going to start learning visual basic, cuz now that i know GUI that will be allot easier. And maybe learn java.

The funny thing is that i am 13 years old, so i can definitely say that i am good at programming for my age hehehe.

I am sorry you had to read all that crap:nuts:
Dim Bessomi as gone
Peace Out:thup:

Ok, more serious reply this time :p

This site has been very usefull in many ways, but still, i didn't have home internet for over a year and learned everything from trial and error.

In my opinion this site should exploit it's tutorial area, i.e a big sign that reads TUTORIALS HERE! for new comers ofc :D simply because every question (or almost every) has already been asked and when you first join you don't even know where to go for tutorials and if i'm honest i still don't know

Also i would say that with each patch from battle.net there should also come tutorials, why is it people have to rely (I'm sure thats not how you spell it :)) upon the internet to get there information, i mean GUI is meant to be there for the average commoner isn't it?

It is a great site, there's no getting away from the fact, it's usefulness comes with it's diversity, i shan't deny that some of the administrators seem to behave in a George Bush style, Bow to me I have the power instead of, lets all just be friends, CARE BEARS FOREVER!!

:D ok erm . . . not too sure where that came from :p
no . it is a bit annoying when you have your thread closed with a stupid comment and no answer to the original question, simply because well there is no because, i had a thread asking how to download 2 at a time and it was closed because the site was said to be illegal (it wasn't), i even removed the site and yet administrator decided to close it (out of the kindness of his/her heart) with a stupid comment:
"The same way you'd download 2 of anything..?

Download each one?

Anyway, we're not gonna go into detail helping you obtain illegal copies of movies. If you can't figure it out yourself then don't do it."

I mean come on, this the helper.net sqrage, not macho&slander.net
Your job is to be helpful, not aggravating.

It really bugged me that 1, i tried to be really nice, polite and friendly and thats what i got in return, in truth I've almost had enough of this site because of it.

Overall it's a good site, 4/10 if you ask me, could be improved dramatically
Starting with exploiting tutorials but then again if this site made it too easy then that would mean ppl would be here less and therefore less cash in their pocket

I have learned all my mapmaking skills from here and I even improved my programme knowledges. I would rate this site 9/10 because it's the best darn site I have ever seen (not kidding) Only thing that could be improved, well the search tool ofcourse^^

Forget what i said. With a text like that (lukes long boring text) you cant deny anything he says.

But seriously, what is the helper if not just a big happy forum.
Maybe its a company? Who knows?
But who do i ask if i need to know that?
I think ill ask the helper

Many do.

I like this forum. Who'd spend 3 years on a forum he/she didn't like?
I had good amount of knowledge of mapping before I came here.. but I began to learn JASS during my stay here. And I really did learn it something about it :).

EDIT:// Oh, just a note. Try to keep this thread clean, meaning very small amount of off-topic as possible.
EDIT:// And me myself didn't read even the topic correctly.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
