I think the baddies in the movie were vampire/zombie type things.
Just a personal opinion.

I don't think the word "Undead" came into the entire movie. Meaning they probably weren't.

Now they may not be the dead, reborn but they sure as hell looked like it.

Okay, I read through the whole second article.....
1. 1st link is kaput
2. Once again, there are no such things as vampires. This is just someone who read a crap load of books and "fact books" on vampires and then compiled what they thought was the most well-explained parts.
3. Also, the very "vampire" as it is described drinks blood which in actually these "vampires" (if they are real, high chance of no) aren't vampires at all and are just humans with some weird powers of sorts.

Allow me to make this all very, very simple for you all.

Vampires exist only in the stories you read, the movies you see and your own imagination.

The only way you MIGHT see a "Vampire" is a severely albino person with dental issues creating "fangs" who is diabetic and thus requires certain PARTS from other people's blood, but not raw blood itself.

Even then. No one is immortal.

How come, Will Smith and Sam (DOG), the Other woman and boy Didn't get affected?

They were just very lucky to be in the immune. Some genes or something were in there body that was immune to the infected.

well, he was alone in a big city. and he knew that it was dangerous for him, so he was armed all the time. i liked the film really, one of the best zombie movies ive ever seen and ever will see

why not? he went into the lab because zombies were in the house. and before he had prepared to fight them. so why shouldnt he have a grenade

he kept weapons within reach of him at all times, who's to say he didn't have hand grenades next to the milk carton? or conveniently located besides his cheerios?


and they state in the movie that (i think these numbers are right) 90% died, 9% became the mutant things, and 1% were immune completely, they also said that the disease wouldn't affect some creatures (such as sam, and the lions) unless they came in direct contact with the virus (biting), on other words airborne virus wouldn't affect the dogs and kitties and such.

I am Legend was a great movie and if you have a PS3 or a blu-ray player
you cant watch 2 versions of the movie but i don't know why thy didn't show the second version in the cinema ?/.. but i think the second version is about the monsters well i am not gowing to say anything ;D
