Hey there,
I found time again to create a new Model.
This time, I made an impact Model, suitable for lightning themed Spells.

I don't care if you give me credit or not, but don't claim this your own.

Guess it uses default textures.....

The minor differences are the color and the animation style. This one has slower falling particles, and different rising swirly effect.

What's the path?

Never imported Models before?
Just remove the "/Wc3import" thingy, so that only the Model Name + Extension is showing. In this case it's "LightningStrike.mdx" (withought ", that is).

I used it in my game already, the next version would include this effect as an ulti skill. Though I did not use it as a lightning, does not look like lightnig anyway.

EDIT:
I've released another alpha version of my map, and now it includes this SFX as a skill. Credited Hatebreeder of course.

The skill is called Mana Burst, and its like one f my favorite spells Check it out by playing this map.

Thank you so much Hatebreeder for this simple SFX. Simple but what matters the most is how you use it

By all means, you can use this SFX as what you like. I just felt that this gives a lightning like feel.

PS: You might want to update your map so it's compattible with the newest Patch.
Else i can't play it =)

EDIT: Since i can't fix this WinZip Problem, i used a different Programm to do the Archieving.
Mods? I'm awaiting approval :3

I've recently sent you a message about this model, hope you got it. There seems to be a bug where when you click on the unit there is a crack formed at a random point on the map. I guess I explained it well on the message I sent you

Changed the Crack effect - Shockwaves will be emitting instead.

Re-uploaded the Effect (Readme is also included).

The Bug shouldn't be happening anymore.

It's really well made, but it fails to give me the idea of lightning-ish... It's not enough zapping

I mean, Lightning is random and spiky and... well, I suppose you get the idea
