Well, I just looked at this page on a Mac OS 9 and it totally messes it up. The side bar is on top, then at the BOTTOM of the side bar, that's where the posts are inside of having them side by side. I'd take a sceensot of it, but I just can't figure out how to on this stupid Mac.

Anyways, how do you take screenshots on a Mac? This computer doesn't have a Print Screen button, and the mouse only has one button. (Yuck)

Oh, and by the way, Macs stink. (My grandma's going to kill me for that, since this is her computer, YIKES!)

Your scripts must be insufficient since I have noted numerous problems with ext, graphics, etc.

1.) The titles of members in the "View Member" option are all screwed up - they overlap eachother.

2.)Page is much bigger than it should be - even with the same resolution, I have to scroll across the entire page for about 5 mins jsut to get to the bottom.

3.) The drop down menus are also screwed up, there at the bottom of the page and I don't actually use them as drop down boxes, plus those overlap eachother as well.

It might be because this 4 year old Mac is pretty outdated and can't handle some of these scripts, does this website run XHTML 4.0 or higher?

It is not that the Mac sucks, but that you do not know how to use the Mac LOL I have two mac computers. The one I am normally on is a PowerBook G4 that's a year or so old. Super fast and I have no problems viewing this site. My other computer is a tower G4 we bought in '99 and it runs so great. Again, no problems viewing this site. Which internet browser are you using? Internet Explorer works fine but Safari is best for Macs. I have noticed that while using Internet Explorer I have to scroll down half way through the pages on the site before the words come up, but nothing major with the overall outlay. Using Safari though I have no problems at all. We have OS X on both computers but even when we had OS 9 we never had any major problems with site viewing. Maybe it's time to update grandma's computer with OS X though. At least download Safari.

Took me a while to get used to the one Mac we have in our house. As far as I'm concerned, because I've grown up on a PC most of the time, it (the PC) has a much easier-to-learn user interface. I had trouble enough when I realized the difference between an Acer and a Mac (besides the fact that the Acer is a tablet pc :D) is that you can't double tap the touch screen to click on something. And I got so bloody used to it too....

I don't hate Macs, it's just those things are so damn different. They aren't very hard to figure out, but the controls are waaay off to what I'm use to. The Mac I was on is 4 years old and it runs as fast as this 1 year old computer, so they're pretty fast. They look pretty sleek also, but it totally messes p the pages...

Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

I am not big on the recipes I am just promoting them - I use the site as a practice place promoting stuff

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.
  • The Helper The Helper:
You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
