I took music theory classes in college for 2 years, so I know that musically, it's crap. But, like they say in Mr. Holland's Opus, why do we like Louie Louie? It's just the same three chords over and over again. No musical genuis here. It's because it's FUN.

Because your way too serious. I listen to the song because it's hilarious. This guy makes tons of money for singing about all the stuff he's gonna do at the club tonight. Also because he thinks hes so cool, when hes just some dude going to a club.

Alexander, since you like the heavier stuff you might want to try ManoWar. Very good stuff. A little old school but still very good. I think you would like, especially if you like reading the DragonLance kind of books and I think you would get a kick out of their ...how to say, spiritual side? Anyway, good stuff. And maybe BrokenX would like too, since he mentioned Iron Maiden, kinda along the same lines.

The BIGGEST part about liking rap - is the girls. 9/10 songs are about girls. AND - girls love it. I don't think I go to ANY club that doesn't play rap, and they are all full of hot women dancin' and stuff. Every hot girl you see in a car is listening to rap.

I love 'In Da Club' because they sing about chicks, beer, and being in the club. The math all makes sense.

Good heavy thumpin and a cool background too. Even the hillbilly's at Saggy's bar and grill play that song .

Now Get Low by Lil John (what?! OKAY!) that song is the BOMB

Beer, adult bar, women, strippers, AWESOME song. How he all singing about her working 'da pole' and letting it 'drop', I never stop smiling.

Yes, so your vote is the majorty of what other people like, I am true to what I like ^^, I don't care what you like for music thats your own thing ^^, but I like rock and metal.

Now that you put it that way, it is true.. most of the majorty is based on rap, but most of the cherished memories and moments are in a concert . With head banging, and metal rockers, up there playing there hearts out, I think there is more feeling to the music of rock, and metal if you know what I mean like you get butter flys cause you know it feels good.

I think that's why I don't really relate to rap. It talks about things I don't care about or even really like. Clubs, for instance...I have a crowd phobia, so I could never stand being around all those people. Metal and rock, the songs I listen to, anyway, are about a feeling or an event in the artist's life I can relate to, so that's why I listen to it.

And like I said, not all rap is bad. Personally, I loved the "Like Toy Soliders" song by Eminem...I saw the video, and I was blown away by how serious and how meaningful the song really was.

Personally I couldn't get into the Toy Solider song cause every time they hit the chorus that they took off of Debbie Gibson's Toy soldier all I could do was laugh and think Electric Youth LOLOLOL.

I have a girlfriend so my "desire to score" isn't that high. And I just don't like crowds. Never did, don't trust people being behind me much.
