Anybody else notice that the Nuon logo made its way onto the back cover of the Planet of the Apes Blu Ray? Obviously a mistake, but still worth a chuckle.
The movie does have NUON features! If it's an early run, there is a glitch in the DVD but you can still get at the goods. Here's how: http://www.nuon-dome.com/apesaccess.html
I meant they accidentally put the Nuon logo on the BLU RAY release...unless there is a NUON Blu Ray player(Nu-Ray?!? ) then it's of course impossible.
I have no problems accessing the NUON features on my 2-disc planet of the apes DVD. There's really not much...what was the point of putting NUON features onto disks when all they did was basically stuff they could do without the NUON technology? "Viddies" are just different arrangements of video clips. "Gamma Zooms" and "Hyper Slides" are more or less just slides. Other than the zooming this can all be done without a NUON chip.
Well, I'm undoubtedly wrong, but the only thing that comes to mind is that perhaps the old Nuon features are on the Blu Ray as well and to include them Fox had to license them from Genesis Microchip, assuming that it still owns the rights to "Nuon." However, this review seems to indicate that the Nuon features did not make it over:
Ghan has said he has fixed this. Monovertex please confirm this fix. This was only a problem with people that had signatures in the upper levels like not the special members but the respected members.
