Order of creation triggers

It seems that when you save the map, the order of triggers in the trigger editor is kept, not like the wc3 editor.
I mean if you create 4 trigger with the event "map initialization" , the first created trigger will be the most on the top, and the last the most on the bottom.
And if you change the order of trigger it will also change the order creation, which wasn't the case with the wc3editor.

That's not the information of the year and you would easily figure out yourself, but since it wasn't already said i felt to say it :p

Yeah I figured that out the hard way when my triggers were not working correctly. Kinda bothersome in a way but I guess blizzard is just trying to help out by making them run in the order they are made. You would naturally make a trigger that way but for most map makers that doesn't happen cause we make our maps piece by piece, not systematically.

When Blizzard will allow us to easily ( ) convert a trigger in plain galaxy it will be very handy.

Why do you need it to be transferred to plain text when you can edit it in the parser still and not have to destroy the GUI. I think its one of the very best additions to the Editor. Edit in Galaxy without destroying your GUI triggers.

I don't use GUI, hence the reason.
When you want to use only galaxy it's a pain in the ass.

Anyway even if they don't add this feature i will directly write inside the map script i guess ...

Someone told me that is trickier for the wc3 trigger.
And he is right, in fact you have to close the editor, reopen ,re-save the map and the trigger creation order will be applied depends the relative trigger order.
So you could use this fact to make a kind of newbie "protection" :D

Hopefully it's not needed anymore for the sc2 editor.

Hmm, not sure what you mean. Have you discovered something that I did not until now? The only way to see galaxy script in the editor is by clicking on "map script" in the editor options. But this is read-only.

Honestly i think he is just a GUI user, with maybe sometimes use some custom scripts, and he is talking about the "custom script" thing in trigger actions, so he can't realise why us, who care about galaxy and not GUI, are screwed.
Wait & see, i would be happy if i'm wrong and he has a neat solution though.

Well, there's always this little workaround by using the custom script to close the actionfunc and then writing your own in custom script.
But that looks crappy as the GUI stub is still there in the upper window.

Exactly.
Since you have a beta key couldn't you post the request in the official blizzard website ?
http://forums.battle.net/board.html?forumId=26951354&sid=5010
The link is for EU, but i hope Blizzard care enough, and you don't have to post it in the US forum.
Or you could just post to the US forum ...

We are not alone, for example here :

But it can't be a bad thing to ask it officially.

  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

I am not big on the recipes I am just promoting them - I use the site as a practice place promoting stuff

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
