And a lot, lot more, along with bug fixes and several editor fixes and changes.

>Blink research time increased from 110 to 140.

I don't see how that was needed, but honestly I don't care, a 30 second delay won't hurt any time push that isn't on 1 base.

>Attack range increased from 5 to 6.
Meh

>Acceleration increased from 0.3 to 1.375.
It is a start. The mothership is still shit though.

>Shields increased from 40 to 100.

The only thing which really makes a difference

>Build time increased from 60 to 65.
Meh

>Infernal Pre-Igniter damage upgrade decreased from 10 to 5.
What is the point of this gas expencive upgrade now ?

>Seeker missile movement speed increased from 2.5 to 2.953.
Good. Now this spell is usable again.

>Fungal Growth damage changed from 36 (+30% armored) to 30 (40 vs Armored).
Told you that was coming.

>Morph cost decreased from 50/100 to 50/50.
Meh.

>Contaminate energy cost increased from 75 to 125.
w/e

>Build time decreased from 70 to 55.
I think it is a bit too much, knowing that you can summon X ultras at a time, perhaps 10 seconds would be better, but I am glad this unit had a buff.

Seriously, why did they break the blueflame ? Now it is heresy to ask for that much gas for this upgrade!

Wow, lots of changes. Didn't epext them to break blueflame, the protoss ones dosen't matter too much. Maybe one day there will be a mothership rush.

[Blink] research time increased from 110 to 140.
Blink is pretty powerful, but if an increase of the research time makes much of a difference i cant really tell. Maybe it will make terran timing pushes even more easier? I am no terran so i cant say.

[Immortal] Attack range increased from 5 to 6.
Attack range is always important, will make the immortal a little more useful.

[Mothership] Acceleration increased from 0.3 to 1.375.
I dont think the mothership will now be used that much more.

[Warp Prism] Shields increased from 40 to 100.
This is nice, these things were dying so incredibly quick against turrets or spores.

[Barracks] Build time increased from 60 to 65.
I dont really get it, was the marine rush so powerful? Is this meant to prevent bunker rushing maybe?

[Infernal Pre-Igniter] damage upgrade decreased from 10 to 5.
I liked that upgrade, it was amongst the most useful upgrades out there. Now you will need 3 hellions to one shot a drone i guess?

[Raven]Seeker missile movement speed increased from 2.5 to 2.953.
The skill is still too weak. Too much energy cost, too easy to dodge. Its just a buff of 0.403.

[Infestor] Fungal Growth damage changed from 36 (+30% armored) to 30 (40 vs Armored).
I am a zerg player, i dont like this. Thats alot of damage potential lost. But i do agree that marines were dying too quick

[Overseer] Morph cost decreased from 50/100 to 50/50.
I totally agree with this change. Perfect decission.

[Overseer] Contaminate energy cost increased from 75 to 125.
To be honest i dont see this spell being used very often. (Besides from AI players)

[Ultralisk] Build time decreased from 70 to 55.
I like this, the ultralisks arent the greatest. Their attacks might be okay but their melee range and their huge size make them pretty useless in many situations.

All in all i am a little disappointed by certain decisions but some are great in my opinion.
There are many bugfixes too, thats good.

But i guess many things about this patch might still change in the future, the patch isnt live yet. I believe they will not nerf the blue flame this much. If they do it will never be used again.

The blue flame upgrade is probably the most discussed change everywhere.

It's still useful against some kinds of units. But it got worse against marines and zealots. So basically it'll drift more towards using them for drops, and less towards fighting an army with them. Just that they got worse for early drops. Except of TvZ where the nerf didn't do much difference iirc.

The blueflame visual will still scare the shit out of each and every Zerg :D

I think you're all missing the best part of this patch. The editor improvements looks AWESOME!
I agree, but it was disappointing to see they didn't add the transient property to the morph ability.

The blue flame nerf will see a big difference in (high-league) TvZ games.

Will blue flame hellions still be able to 2 shot a drone?
Because i dont see them used for anything besides scouting or roasting zerglings and drones.
they were quite useful against zealots without charge upgrade too, but i dont know if many people used them in TvP.

You need 3 Blue Flame Helions to 2 shot a drone.

I'm really disappointed with the Infestor nerf :(

No. I think if you get +1 they can, but then if the zerg gets +1 you can't again.

On the one hand, it would hardly be a nerf if it still took the same amount of shots to kill a drone, on the other hand; for its price it seems a little weak for not even changing the amount of shots it takes to kill drones.

Also, on the Score Screen the players leagues show up right next to their names, and you can click them to go right to their ladder. Plus, I love the "privacy" changes - automatic busy when going in to games, no invites\messages from anyone not on your friends list, etc.

Actually, as a Protoss player this patch is pretty epic overall, though some of the Terran changes were odd.

Edit: Ninja'd! One minute late.

To clarify, it takes 3 blue flame hellions to one-shot a drone. Not 2 shot.

Infestor’s Neural Parasite can no longer target Massive units. :
This is a joke is it? It must be...

What should neural parasite be used for then? marines and marauders?
seriously? i think if this patch goes live neural parasite will never be used again. its ridiculous.

I am switching to toss now. . .

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
