problem with melee map and hero limits

i gotta question, im having help with my world editor sory here it goes....

i made a melee map and i added one hero to each race, i edited all their stats just fine and got the alters to produce them unfourtunately, when i build one of my newly created heros, it doesnt count it as one of my heros (i can build multiple of them) but once i build a normal hero, i have to upgrade my town center to build another, i kno the triggers are correct because its still giving my hero a scroll of TP along with the others and because it only lets me build one each of the normal heros.

Im not sure if i left any necessary info out... plz help me...

I have had the exact same problem. I'm still figuring it out too... I don't think customs or specials are counted as true heros....

Maybe if you base your hero on one of the default three?

I think i know what the problem is with your heros. In the unit editor you need to have your model used to start with a hero. Then after all of its stats come up change the model to whatever you want it to be.

im making a rpg and i want that the hero can reah level 200 how i do that???

The solution to your problem is this:

Go to Advanced -> Gameplay Constants
Check the Use custom values button

Scroll down till u find the entry Hero - Maximum Level
Double-click on it and you will be able to change it into whatever you like.

Have you checked the Tech Requirements for your hero unit? On a normal hero you can see that Tier 2 and 3 is required for the second and third hero. Check it out if you haven't, otherwise i can't help you further.

Q. i need to know how to make hero levels higher but when i go to advanced on the editor thing it say
modifie tileset
random groups
reset height feild
ajust cliff level
other stuff but it doesnt have gameplay constants what the heck
 
well u look in your Map Initialzyion and it says limit one to each hero type add a trigger

event -map init

cond -

act - limit 1 hero type for (your hero)

    It is OK though for the main page to open up on the forum in the view it was before. As long as the portal has its own URL so it can be viewed that way I do want to try it as a regular forum view for a while
