Kindly list them the Pros and Cons of the two.

Thanks in advance!

Replace unit
Pros: Easier to use, doesn't require any extra abilities.
Cons: Works by making a new unit with the same properties as the old unit, then removing the old unit. Variables and hashtables that had stored the old unit won't be updated (they will lose their value). Buffs and unit orders (eg. if it's presently moving somewhere) will be lost.

Chaos
Pros: Truly changes the unit-type of a unit, leaving the unit intact in memory. Variables and hashtables and buffs will remain correct.
Cons: Requires a unique chaos ability for every unit-type to which you want to convert units. Has a bug where a unit with +armor (eg. from an item or from Devotion Aura) will have that value added to the unit's base armor upon conversion.

So obviously, Chaos is better? Thanks!

Okay, now I need an answer to the second question.

It's not just for single player as far as I know. You can probably check "triggering player" to figure out who it was that clicked the button.

First Question:
as Weep said, but chaos has another bug that pretty much prevents heroes to morph back and forth. the bonuses of hero attributes will be added each time you morph a hero into a different hero and back to the original one. (kinda tricky)

Really? In what situation? I just tried, and neither stat-boosting items, nor the Attribute Bonus ability, nor damage-boosting items, had the increasing-stat bug like +armor does.

you are right, guess that was a pre-patch 1.24 bug. thats fixed now.

however if you morph your unit into the same unit type it currently is its attack damage will double.

It also appears to add mana and HP bonuses, both from buffing abilities like the Periapt of Vitality, but also those applied directly to the unit health as from a Manual of Health. :(
