Shadow Strike Help

I know this might be a way big noob question but iv tooken shadow strike and made i changed decay power to 1 (i think this is the second wait for next dammage) and iv taken the decay dammage and changed it to 50,75, and 100 increases with the lvl, and the inital dammage for each lvl is 50,75,100, but whenever i use it on anything it just instaly kills it and i even tryed changing all the fields of the ablity back to orginal state and even still it instantly kills the unit,

That's weird.. I did as you asked and the Murloc Nightcrawler doesn't die instantly.... Why does that happen to you?

Revert to its original state? Right-click and select ability to its defaults? Maybe you left one unchanged.

nope everything is exactly the same no purple indentation of changes

i shure hope its not, cause just today i was testing it out and i used one of my items that just activly has the berserk ablity built in and when i activated it, it caused me to have the buff of earthquake and slow me like earthquake does, Even tho i activatd it that same game play and it worked fine. so i dropped the item and picked it back up, And it works fine. Some crazy stuff in my game is goin on

There is once i set my decay power to 0 and that happens (instant kill)..
After changing it to 1, it should be ok.
If your decay power isnt 0, then something else is interferring the shadow strike skill like what duderock101 said.

That's weird.. I did it to..Just now.. And nothing happened... Only the initial damaged showed up...

is there another ablity i could use besides shadow strike that has bassily the same effects? cause i just cant get it work correctly.

You could just use an ability that does damage and trigger the slowing.

The_X was right! So I know why you die! You used Triggers right? OMG... I can't believe it happened to me.... Is this what you did? I was trying to make Squishy's idea and it killed my hero and instantly killed the enemy.

Here's my trigger:

Shadow Strike
    Events
        Unit - A unit Begins casting an ability
    Conditions
        (Ability being cast) Equal to Shadow Strike
    Actions
        Animation - Change (Target unit of ability being cast)'s animation speed to 50.00% of its original speed
        Unit - Cause (Casting unit) to damage (Target unit of ability being cast), dealing 100.00 damage of attack type Spells and damage type Normal
        Unit - Cause (Casting unit) to damage (Target unit of ability being cast), dealing 100.00 damage of attack type Spells and damage type Normal

Just a question, why do you have the Damage Target Action 3 times? Why not just make it do 300 damage in one action.

Yep, forgot that but still my hero died instantly and I set the level to 10.

Ya, I can vaguely remember my shadow strike instantly killing its targets when I tryed it a long time ago. Anyway, my suggestion was to use some other ability, like storm bolt or something, and then trigger the slowing.
