I was just thinking
in a warcraft 3 rpgs can there be any way by which the -save command message will directly go into a software where is will be stored and cannot be opened by any one and when playing the game we can again load it again by opening the soft ware and presing a key sm what like dota keys and it -load without showing us the code?
is it possible?
if it then we can do things in warcraft3 that were never possible like in future we can connect the software to internet.

I assume if the software interacted with wc3 it would require some modifications or addition to the original software, which would violate the terms and agreements you agreed to when installing the game, not to mention disallow you the access to B.net. Use a screenshot program, nothing quite like it, doesn't interact with wc3 itself, yet you can save your save code easier. You have to still type it on a notepad and paste it in game or type it ingame ^^

I know about screenshot
Cant there be any way in which the -save command is executed only when the player steps on something and the printscreen can be changed to integers by it?

my main thinking is making a rpg sm what similar to a mmorpg

i didn't knew we need to edit the .exe file for it another question

can we lock the map folder so that only warcraft3 can open it that way maps can be save from any hacking. can that be done without editing .exe file

I think what you're talking about is protecting a map? Correct me if I'm wrong.

yup but in a way in which no 1 can open it. i heard the normal ways of protecting are vulnerable to some pros so i am thinking of a more safer way :)

With the save question, you could write a program that reads WarCraft 3's memory, and then outputs stuff. That way, you aren't actually modifying the exe.

CheatEngine 5.5 does it.

There is a way to do this, but it is limited and requires editing loads of C++ code.
The way I see it:
Take the w3mmd crap and add it to your map
Take a bot (GHost I guess) and modify the code shit tons so that it stores people's -save code into a database, getting the code from w3mmd
Have it so that the bot tells the game the code for the player (like how the bot can do DotA commands instead of letting blue do it)
Simple as that, conceptually that is...
This will take a lot of work and requires a great amount of already learnt experience in order to do this

EDIT: Oh, the way it is limited it because the save codes will ONLY be stored on the database that the bot is using, so if you want to try and only have this map hosted on a network of bots, that would be good.

This is possible, but way beyond you and me, and I doubt you could find anyone with that great of C++ knowledge to help you with this.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
