I have selected a undead based worker and a a undead based tower but have changed the model file to a human based unit.
When building the the tower the Peasent worker continues to hit it as if i still needs building is there anyway of preventing this ?

You might try a trigger that does somethign like

"Wait 1 second
Order unit to stop"
