The underwater one is amazing.
Especially since it looks like everybody's trying to get away from that evil monstrosity rising in the back (dark thing right center back).
Though I'm not sure that was the plan :p

Hmpfh, you might have to accept cookies from wc3c.net in order to see them. Blame TH for the 1mb file size limit...
Here's the original thread: http://www.wc3c.net/showthread.php?t=109375&page=2
Maybe you can see them there?

Ehm... yeah... totally what I was going for... Actually it's just a wrecked battlecruiser but your interpretation sounds a lot cooler.

The underwater one is amazing.
Thanks.
I'm kinda proud of it since it was a lot more difficult to make than it may look like. The fog in SC2 works somehow different than the one in WC3, it seems to "favor" everything near and below the "average" terrain height.
The skyscrapers in the first picture are a good example. Note how their bottom part is completely covered in the grey fog and the top is pretty much unaffected. Now try to get the fog to affect a huge sky model...

Forget what I said, you change the fog under Terrain Texture Sets. >.<

I tip my hat to you. The underwater one and the city one are great.

Now make some giant mechs out of pillars!

Oh, and how do you use multiple clifftypes on a tileset? And is it possible to modify the tileset?

the underwater one reminds me of Deep Trouble 2. I feel it would look better with some more colour, and water models, not like they exist or anything.

the reflections on the water are just looking too smexy :)!

I can't wait for some new sc2 terrain from you 2-P.
I'll be stalking it. lol

I didn't find a way to tilt models on flat terrain yet! Using negative values in "Tipability" (the new Pitch/Roll Angle) doesn't work anymore. Well let's say it actually works correct now, it's arguable whether that's a good or bad thing...

It's possible to have up to 4 clifftypes of any type (you can also remove the original clifftypes) in a tileset. You can change that and everything else tileset related in the Terrain Texture Sets category.

The potential for the Terrain in Custom maps is looking awesome..

By the way. The Hellion's Actor is just a buggy with a weapon turret attached to it. So we can have Dune buggy racing or some other such nonsense.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
