Actually this is completely untrue. Are either of your parents on Medicare? If not, then you're not getting any money from it, which is covered in taxes. Are you in public school or are you in a school that is not in your school district? If not, once again your not getting anything from your taxes. Other things include War Veteran pay, Social Security, Government Salaries, Military Spending, Subsidies, and so on.

Police, public school, fire department, public services, roads, pretty much anything that the public is allowed to use should be added to the list. Taxes are important due to the obviously high cost of maintaining the nation, but there are better ways to collect them than having like eighty different kinds.

Weee! Experience dude thread. McCain's old thats why people voted him out. McCain!

Reagen was 70 when he was first elected. Not that big of a deal, get over his age and worry about Obama's age.

Thank God!

Yeah, who wouldn't want an 80% income tax and a government controlled life?

Point in case.

McCain would be 72; isn't that just a HUGE difference? If he was like 90 I would understand the issue of his age, but as he's not and only a few years older than another president whom was elected, I see no reason for anyone to hold that against him.

Yeah it is, like most "points," a waste of time. But I was saying that many considered Reagan not to be sharp enough to run the country.

After his diagnosis, there was speculation over whether Reagan had demonstrated symptoms of mental degeneration while president.

Former CBS White House Press Corps Lesley Stahl recalls in her book Reporting Live, an "unsettling" interview with the president where "a vacant Reagan barely seemed to realize anyone else was in the room", and that before he "reemerged into alertness" she recalls that "I had come that close to reporting that Reagan was senile."

Reagan would also encounter occasional difficulty recalling names and titles, notably while meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone wherein he repeatedly referred to his Vice President as "Prime Minister Bush."

SOURCE

Not saying that McCain is anything like that, but just pointing out that Reagan might have been a few tacos short of a combination.

Obama is good in that (in my opinion) he is moral and patriotic. However, I think he's really just a big list if ideas that, even if he were elected, would probably never get done.

When you make your own money, you'll want to know where it goes when the government takes it from you.

I'm from Sweden, we don't have this Medicare of yours. I've never paid anything for my schooling, I will when I start at the university, but that'll be in three years. Apart from this, the youth in my municipality have great influence on what happens around us, I'm in a group that the municipality has created where we help the youth get their voices heard; almost 90% of all our bills has ben carried out. We don't pay anything and we get things worth thousands and thousands of dollars.
Until your 20 or something like that you get a free dentist and medical service, we have cops, firemen, good roads, etc, etc, etc.

Maybe we aren't getting 100% back; but you can't just think about yourself. A chain isn't stronger than the weakest link, I think it's obvious that everyone can't have the same amount of everything; but everyone has to have a chance to make it out in the world.

I think that the US is too right, but Sweden's too left, so here in Sweden everyone hates me for being so right-winged :p

Sweden is also socialist. I personally think the major issue in America right now is that everyone wants change more than success.

We need change, Bush is a war monger, and not only did he thrust us into another "wasteful" war like vietnam, hes a war monger! We are in debt trillions of follars cus of him,a nd big business are being greedy as f*** right now, which is why the gass prices are up.

Hopefully if obama is elected(Not Mcaine, hes a war monger like bush) Gas prices will drop and hopefully most of the laws bush put into effect obama will appeal... Bush arleady made this country less free! hes tweaked with the constitution many times.

So yea, we need change, at this rate, bad things will happen in the future if this keeps up.

I think the connection people are making is that the country got screwed up under Bush, and McCain has the same policies as Bush. Ergo, the country would continue to be screwed up under McCain.

Mcaine is like bush but if hes elected, he might take a different path then bush.

In a way Bush did screw us over, he put his in trillions of dollars on debt and ever sense he came, big business have been so greedy they blame high gas on little refinaries, even though they can make more.

Country was suppose to be ran by the people, not the government, Right now it isnt run by the people, only by the government, look how many damn ridiculas laws they passed.
This country is far from free.

Anyway, Bush is helping mcaine.. So what is that a hint for?

Then again Republican stability is all we need right now, not saying I am one, but if McCaine can achieve that for us, and fortify laws, and oil deals, and all our financial problems, then it would be a dumb choice choosing something we aren't sure will fix our government, then again I could be wrong.

He endorsed McCain because he is a Republican. You actually expected him to endorse Obama or Hilary? They're Democrats, and it's what every president does. Contrary to what many people think, there are many Bush supporters out there. That means that McCain can't really reject his endorsement, either. He'd lose some support from them.

Since I can't remember the name my Gov't teacher said, I won't mention who's endorsing Obama, but I remember it was less-than-favorable.

If you spelled McCain right, your argument might be a little more persuasive. Or if you knew what you were talking about and had anything to back it up other than you hating Bush and wanting to blame him for your problems. And in a way, Congress screwed us over even more.

Bad people are endorsing Obama because he surrounds himself with those bad people.

Blaming? He "IS" the cause, the biggest thing is the war that put us in debt of trillions. Instead of backing out of a war we shouldnt be in, he keeps sending more troops.

Congress can simply call them out, at any time. Ever heard of the War Powers Act?

Also, the power of the gov't is divided, he doesn't have all the power, so he doesn't have all the blame. He's not the one putting us into debt, even if he might be adding to it.

Yes, because the war has cost so many trillions of dollars, not the stupid things Congress has been trying to do since 2006.... Since you don't seem to know how the division of power works, maybe you should go read a book called How the US Government Works by Syl Sobel. I think you'll learn a lot.

What you don't know is at t"this point" Leaving means we are wrong, staying means we are wrong, fighting means we are wrong to them, they manipulate the population to think we are "the bad guys" in a simple way, so they almost have constant support(terrorists) to go against us, doesn't matter how many we save, they will turn things around toward us, thus this is a endless pointless fight.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
