Hey ..

I got a few questions about this forum ( thehelper.net )


1* Is this forum costing ? i mean it isnt for free ?

2* The reputation got a text like : "User is sight to see (+700)" , is that something the forum - maker can do ? if i wanna make it "User is a good person (+700)" then i can do that or ?


3* Can anybody give link to exactly a forum like this !? dont have to be same style . just same way , i've seen many vbulletin forums , and this is the best , so anyone can do that ?


4* If this forum is free and dosent costs .. where to get it then ?


5* If it costs .. How much exactly does it costs ? and how long time will it take from when u pay to the day u get the forum up-standing ?

- The VBulletin software used for this forum is not free. See www.vbulletin.com

- The reputation text can be configured (user is a sight to see, etc)

The Vbulletin software forum is much like ours

Some Forum questions !

Hey , well im sorry of posting again , but i didnt know if i should double post my other thread or just make a new so i did this .. and if it was wrong then ( im sry )..


Anyway the questions is:


1* When making a forum like this , can u then choose how much reputation a member needs to get a custom title ? i mean if its +100 here , and i make a new forum , can i then do it to +75 ? if i want to ?


2* When making a forum like this , can admin then choose how many
reputation he wants to give ? i mean if someone he really really really think doing a very good job , and give him like 20+ reputation ? and if someone is faking the admin and does very bad stuff , just give him -1500 reputation so he gets banned or something??


3* When making a forum like this , can admin then just ban a user for a specific time ? i mean if he did something wrong , and admin wanna ban him for like 2 days , is that possible ?


4* When making a forum like this , can admin then go to others profile and see who gave them reputation and so ??


5* When making a forum like this , can admin then make some kinda special memberships ? like this:

Regular Member - Normal Member.

Special Member - Special membership , You will get some ++ like a custom title and now can have 35 posts in the Private Messages.

Admin - You can now have 100 private messages , and custom title + signation and got adminstration panels .



Can u do this ?? i mean make special memberships you need a specific reputation to get ?



6* IF this question above is possible , can admin then make a user with maybe only 50+ reputation ( and the rep u need for special membership is +500 ) then still admin can make him to a special member in the admin panel ??

It is not automatic. It is done by hand. There is no automatic way of giving a custom title at a specific amount of rep.

An Admin can either give rep normally or adjust the users total rep manually.

Yes. If you see it done here then obviously you should be able to do it yourself if you have the same software.

As an admin you can do what you want. There is no automatic way that I know of to change a users group based on there rep, posts, etc. That has to be done manually.

That means i can still go change the ammount of posts available for a member and so on ?

It's possible since 3.6.x or something like that. Usergroups > Promotions. I thought that we where using that :)

You can change pretty much everything as an admin. It's a lot easier to see for yourself what you can do http://www.vbulletin.com/admindemo.php.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
