Turn Unit into hero

How can i turn regular units into a hero, with agility, strength, intell?

if you are using Wc3 original World editor:
You cannot.You must create heros BASED on heroes
if you are using Newgen:
copy unit and change his name with the first letter CAPITAL
e.g name was footman change to Footman

I haven't found a way yet, but the best advice i can give is to base your unit off a hero unit and then change the model and abilities etc. to what you desire. That's an easier more popular way of doing things.

Very simple, LOL... U can just give the unit a spell(Lets say bear form) order it to cast it that means your unit would be changed and then remove it via triggers. Peace of cake

Probably.
Though that doesn't help here as the question is how to turn a non-Hero to a usable Hero unit... not how to replace a standard unit in-game with an already existing Hero...

The only way for WE is to base it off a hero, and then change the model, projectile, voice and so on to that unit. Itll be flawless. Lol
