Using SFML with Visual Studio 2010

I don't know about layers, I just draw things in the order I want them to appear =/
Like,
Draw A
Draw B
Draw C

'A' will be in the lowest "layer" while 'C' will be the highest =x
Maybe your dlls weren't working because you had the wrong CMake configuration =/

Can't remember, but I think one of the settings was with static/dynamic binding or w/e.

Thanks for the help so far, I'll have to take the time and learn SFML slowly lol. I'll come back when I eventually get more troubles.

That system for layers actually works quite well tbh. I'm not sure why my .dlls didn't work, but it works now, so I'm not worried.
