Help on editing terrain.

I know this sounds noobish, but I cannot figure out how to get the space platform the way it looks on all the countless Marine D's and Choose D's and crap. I cannot get the edges to look like they do in those. I get that stupid wall crap and I do not want that stuff there. I have tried everything I can think of and I cannot figure it out. :banghead:

If you're talking about the square block terrain you can't place that with the default campaign editor. You'll either have to download Isometric, or a different editor like Starforge. I would use Starforge for any mission you're doing because it's simply better than the default editor. If that's not what you're talking about then you have to tell me.

Well do you play the custom games on bnet? That will start the narrowing down there. If you do then have you heard of Marine Defense.....Sunken Defence. Pylon Defence, or Cannon Defence? And also have you seen the maps of those....if not then I can post them with the layout of what I am talking about.

I know what you're talking about and it is square block terrain. I reccoment downloading Starforge and using the built in terrain editor in there because it's got every piece of terrain you can have. Hope it helps.

Alright thanks.....I would like to know where I can download the proper Starforge. I do not want to download a corrupted file or anything.

Now I am pissed again.....I clicked 'mirror2' on the link and it downloaded and then unzipped itself. Well I open up the page to the program to install it and an error pops up. It says.... -Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid- Now what seems to be the problem.....

Well I got it all downloaded and can open it....but when I do 'new map' I click the platform or whatever and then click the space one and click okay....but instead of doing what I told it it says 'Runtime 11 error' and then it closes. I hate that crap cause I can open like a Marine D or Sunken D or whatever and get it just fine.... :banghead: :eek: :confused: :mad:

Erm...I'm not really sure what you mean by 'click the space 1' or anything, but...


If you can't make a map in SF but you can open them, just make it in SCXE or Staredit, save, and open it in SF.

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
