Hi, I'm wondering how we use the Script View in the editor?
I'm trying to find a less tedious way of making changes to large triggers, but can't seem to find how to edit the script view successfully without causing problems.
Thanks
On that point, anyone know how to make the marine (or any other unit) have that little popup icon that tells where he is (when it's not doing anything)
I'm curious on how you get the player to actually start at that location. Short of the zoom method I haven't seen anything that lets you "Start" at your start location.
Just a question, but has anyone had to restart the editor after a while because it starts to get "overloaded" and cant handle looking things up anymore?
If you can get a good TD they seem to be very popular, but if your'e just going for a generic tower TD then I wouldn't bother, more than enough of those right now!
So in learning all this i'm sure you've made more than one unintentional creation that you've ended up using because it was entertaining. For me I just recently made a marine that surfs on a brood lord and shoots stuff while flying around...I was going for an upgrade, well it kinda turned out...
So when I started my map I wasn't aware how everything worked, and I made all of my "towers" as immobile units.
This works great, except it still lets these units be built on non buildable area. It also doesn't show the radius around the unit (it's range) when I build it.
Any ideas on...
Being new to the editor I dont' have that experience from the past ones, but I do have programming experience which helps with the mental processing of it all I guess.
That said, I've found my primary problem lies on the unit customization/creation. There is so much to choose from that I can...
Does anyone really understand how popularity works? For instance, if I play it a lot with friends does it require different friends, or just that we play it a lot?
Hopefully I'm not oversimplifying what you want...
But there is a command under "Pathing" that lets you make certain areas fully climable, so monsters will just ignore what's there and walk normally.
Then there is the ramps you can add in.
Or if you use points you can just tell a...
You know that explains a lot on why the same maps always seem to be up there and I never see any new ones.
Why isn't there a "View new maps" option? Wouldn't that solve this?
So I uploaded my map today to try it out with a friend, only to find the people are moving much faster than my local testing. Is there a way to set a default speed? Or should I just adjust it for a "Faster" default speed?
Thanks
