I'm still very new to the SC2 editor and am ever so slowly getting used to the data editor. I'm trying to create an ability that works much like the Queen Inject Larva except I want it to increase the rate of Larva production as well as the larva maximum of said hatchery.
Queen Casts ability...
i made this hero recently and i thought i'd share it:
Name: you decide!
Hero: Poison Master
Primary Attribute: agility.
Melee Fighter.
Description: The poison master is a rather fragile hero, he's not the best fighter nor the greatest of spellcasters, his mastery in concocting poisons however...
yes, it lists them with all their original names as well as the original unit that they are tied too, but test it out.
i know it can be confusing, confused me when i first started, look at it this way:
Ignore the "Human Mountain King" bit, it's just there, all it does is sort all the "Human"...
You won`t find it in the attack list, and i simply used Thunderclap as an example, note that MK has nothing to do here, it`s how the spell is named in GUI;
Human Mountain King -Thunderclap
what you want to do is:
1. Start a new Action
2. Hit "U" or scroll down to all "Unit-" type actions...
you'll want to look for:
Issue order to (attacked Unit) to (HumanMountainKing-Thunderclap), or something like that.
Edit:
you'll want to scroll down and find "Issue Orders with No target", you'll find it with a bunch of orders that are sorted into no target, target and target area. because...
I would love to help, since I still consider myself a newbie to creating maps if i can contribute any items along with hero and spell ideas to your map i will be thrilled :D
Deflection:
Puts the blademaster in a defensive stance, using his agility and mastery of the sword to skillfully deflect all in-comming sources of damage for 5 seconds. The blademaseter cannot attack or perform offensive abilities while deflecting.
Suprise Attack: target unit ability;
The...
I would run 2 triggers for this ability, though i'm not exactly sure how i would do it right now:
the ability would be one like berserk, set to do nothing but provide a buff for 5 seconds:
Trigger 1:
Event:
Unit starts the effect of an Ability
Conditions:
Ability being cast =...
Name: Enraged Combat (LAME!! =P)
type: passive
Description: Your hero lusts for battle and refuses to go down without a fight, increasing damage, movement speed and attack speed based on health deficit (the less HP you have, the more damage, movement and attack speed you have)
gains...
Her'zul the Stormcaller (Ner'zul model lol)
Static Charge:
Strikes your target with concentrated lightning energy, filling him with a static aura that sucks all nearby enemies to the target and continues to shock them until the static wears off, deals 20/40/60 damage per seconds for 6 seconds...
I see a lot of people posting their triggers on the site, whether it be for others to see what might be wrong/leaks or to show someone else how to trigger said action.
how do you do that?
Since your looking for basic classes then to add to your list:
Rogue/Assasin, Preist/Medic and Druid
for more interesting classes tehre are always things like Berserker, Alchemist etc.
my mind is mush atm, hopefully these few ideas will help get you started
I'm curious to how you can make units get knocked back or even knocked into the air when hit by a spell in GUI,
like target area flamestrike based ability that knocks opponents back from the center where the spell is cast or into the air.
or even a target unit gaivity-like spell that sucks...
i'm not too sad being last for my first ubmision, the only way to go now is up!
overall i only know trigger basics, i mean basics of the basics, i fell though that since i've been here things are getting better and, hopefully, i'll be doing alot better next time around :)
quick question, how can i have a trigger check whether a unit, or units in an area have a certain buff or not so i can do if, then else,
Basically what i;m looking to do:
unit starts casting an ability that does massive aoe damage
sheilds spawn in random area around the caster (dummy...
thanks, and ya i agree, gotta get out of using the waits, messy messy:P
the base ability is shadow strike and that din't work
so i set the values to zero and decided to trigger it instead
JW,
which integer did you use and what do you select to get "(18/3)"?
