Hey all hi all,
I'm making a map in which there is a central base of (sort of) Night Elves. That is, they're almost like the standard Elves, but I want them to be able to train and use some "campaign only" units (like sentries) and some technically non-elven units, such as Blood Elf...
I've (finally!) got this working mostly correctly. It generates a bunch of units for Player 12 (a neutral hostile computer player), tells 'em to board a ship, and then they get dropped off somewhere and go a-raiding, just to make the map a little bit more interesting. I've designated 5 areas...
I've got a nice random weather system working out, sometimes it rains, sometimes it doesn't, etc. Is there a way to make other effects (specifically lightning and "rainy" ambient sounds) to play only when it's actually raining?
Maybe I've just not played enough yet, but it seems to me the computer doesn't really make much use of transport vehicles in melee maps. I'm working on a map in which I'd like one computer-controlled force is a group of pirates, so that they'll load up and harass all the other players every so...
I have a cage in my map that contains a prisoner. If a player breaks open the cage, one of three things will pop out and join them: a priest, an orc shaman or a dryad. Problem is, if the player is using humans and they get the dryad, there's no way for her to be able to abolish magic until the...
...I think.
Basically, I've made a map where I want a Makrura pooldweller to spawn at some random point in the map every nine minutes - just to give players a little bit something more to worry about. Nothing major - a group of gold-harvesting peasants briefly converted to militia could...
Forgive the obvious new-ness of this question, but I've been reading tutorials and searching these fora but nothing tells me exactly what I need to make this trigger work correctly.
Rather than bore you with my bad coding (because I can't even remember how many variations and combinations...
