Attack Point

Does anyone have any idea on how to make an attack target a point as opposed to a unit/object. I have made a weapon that fires a ballistic missile but I want to be able to target a point as opposed to a unit. I could do this by turning the weapon into an ability but I just wanted to know if you can do it with a weapon?

I had this same question posted about a week ago. the best reply was no, but you could have a trigger so you create an invisible dummy where you target, and then have the unit attack the dummy.

Unfortunately because the editor is new, these sorts or unusual things don't get discovered for some time. For me it's would just easier to use an ability as opposed to weapons firing upon a dummy.
