First of all I would like to thank everyone here at the Helper Forums for being so helpful. I did a lot of lurking on this site to solve the many hangups I ran into. Also a special shout out to Ace Heart for answering my first post, and being such a helpful person in general.
The Battle of Blue moon is a map I've been working on for a little over a year. It's a town defense game where you pick a hero, defend the town hall and buy items. There are currently 12 heroes and 44 purchasable items along with 16 items that can drop from monsters.
The town has 4 possible attack lanes. 1 random lane opens for every 2 players that are in the game, and will close if players leave or are booted. A boss spawns for 1 random lane every 4 levels.
I've had a lot of questions come up during my public betas so heres an FAQ:
Q: Where are the potion shops?
A: They are the large red-roofed buildings at the NE and SW parts of the town
Q: What is "steel" used for?
A: Steel (lumber) is used to upgrade the npc defenders at your lane. There is a blacksmith at each lane entrance for these upgrades. Each lanes upgrades are separate.
Q: Why is the potion cooldown so long?
A: Potions have a 20 second cooldown. This is to discourage "potion-tanking" and to emphasize the roles of the tank heroes.
Q: The Spellsword is a melee int hero. What gives?
A: He is. It works well on him, just play him already.
Q: The boss didn't drop his item! This game is bugged.
A: The bosses have a 50% chance to drop a unique item. This is normal.
Q: This guy who joined has been afk forever, he needs to go!
A: The host can kick people by typing "-kick blue" to kick blue for instance.
