It's because the packages are delivered to the shipping address much earlier than expected. This can lead to delivery/shipping exceptions when the recipients are not at home or not available during business days.
In my case, the delivery estimation time, according to the FedEx tracking number, is scheduled to arrive at my home at 8:00pm. What actually happen is that the delivery time is at 3:10pm, with the doorbell ringing and all that is normally done by procedures and protocols.
I know that important packages delivered earlier is better overall, there needs to be something that tells the recipients that the overall misconceptions that the delivery did not arrive on time is incorrect. The package did arrived, just 5 hours sooner than one were to estimate.
Of course, estimation time is not accurate, since it has a margin of error of in between 12 hours early or late. So, what can you do other than to wait for the doorbell to ring, or wait outside on the front porch?
